Hello, Death City! My name is Shinra Kishitani, but everyone can call me Shinra. I guess I'm adding to the recent wave of individuals who are new to the city. I hope everyone's doing well today.
I'm glad I paid attention to the local gossip about the Communal! Apparently a lot of problems had happened in regards to the little Valentine's day presents left around. I guess I was lucky - mine tasted very... fishy. It was actually rather awkward. [He chuckles softly.] Whoever left them, thank you for the gift!
As I've been here a few days, I think I've gotten a hang of the layout of the city. It's properly sunk in that there doesn't seem to be any easy method of escape - but is there a way to at least contact people from our original homes? There's a young lady who's probably beside herself with worry at my lengthy absence... And we had such a beautiful date planned, too! [He looks up, almost as if blinking away tears. Pardon him, he is having an emotion right now. ...and then it subsides rather quickly because he knows he's being melodramatic.] Well. If not, she's a strong soul. I'll just have to buy her something special whenever I'm permitted to leave... She'll be so mad at me.
I digress. I was also wondering about how to procure a job, so I'm not completely idling my time here. I'm not quite sure how much schooling I'd truly wish to take - after all, I think I learn best hands-on, and my skills lie more in doctoring - any sort - than fighting. There's a hospital of some sort here, isn't there? Are they hiring? Or is it strictly volunteer staff?
[He sighs softly, a hand reaching up to scratch the back of his head.] I must sound ridiculously new with my large set of questions. I'm sorry! I really am just this new, though.
