I've just heard word of every8ody's success in the mission at Lake Tahoe.
You should all feel proud of yourselves, though I dou8t you need to hear it from me. :::;)

I do find myself more than a 8it curious to know a8out what happened specifically, however.
Does any8ody mind letting me know?
I would very much like to hear of your first-hand accounts, if any8ody is willing to share them.

It was cold, and the weather was unrelenting, seemingly fueled by the prominence of the Madness Wavelength. Lee and I took down two distorted wolves and a Kishin Egg before we were forced to rest at the medic camp. Fortunately, we managed to escape significant injury, though we were unable to progress much further.

Now, when you say the weather was fueled 8y madness... what exactly does that entail?

Madness seems to affect everything.. humans, animals, even the environment.. We were travelling through a blizzard that seemed to worsen as we stepped closer to the location of the emitter. Naturally, the madness wavelength grew stronger along the way. That's what it means.

That's good to know.
I was wondering a8out that. It's manifestation and a8ility to effect and consume the life in the caverns during the last operation would suggest that it's a8ilities extend 8eyond effecting just humans and weapons.
This is one more piece to the puzzle that provides us with a 8etter understanding of the extent to which this war has escalated.
And to that end I thank you for you account.

Even if we're fighting for them, it's somewhat naive to think they're telling us everything. Even my village has secrets I'm not aware of despite being a Jounin. I'd imagine it's the same here. Their intelligence operations don't generally extend to us.

Whether or not they're withholding suspicions or relevant information is questionable however.

I get that feeling too, through talking with some of the educators here.
It's a rather precarious situation, for those of us who did no 8egin here.
And for them as well, since it effects them the most directly.

There seems to 8e a dearth of exposition...
