[She makes the post somewhere outside with the wall of some building as the backdrop. She's wearing a quiet smile as she leans back against the wall. There are no noticeable injuries on her person though she does look a bit tired.]

I hope no one was badly hurt during the earthquake.

[She looks off to a side, thoughtful for a moment before turning back towards the communicator.]

I don't suppose anyone have any books they could recommend? I usually prefer reading about myths and folklore, but I'll give just about anything a try. [Because, you know, she's going to be unbelievably free at least until she's recovered.]

I suffered a mild concussion during the earthquake. The doctors said I should probably avoid any strenuous activities for a few days so I can't do patrols. [Pause.] If you need it, I can come into the office to help. [She sounds almost hopeful about this. It's kind of sad, but having a concussion essentially means she's banned from doing two out of three things she usually spends her time doing. And there's only so much time she can spend reading books until she's gets restless.]

[She smiles a little, and angles her communicator away for a moment to show off her new bike before returning the focus to herself. So this was why she made the post outside...]

A little. [She doesn't do a lot beyond training and patrols and reading. And now she can't do two out of three of those.]

I don't think I've ever had this much free time before. I'm not sure what to do with all of it. [Does she sound sheepish? Just a little.]

[There's a shrug as she's trying to decide which books she enjoyed enough to even bother mentioning.]

Still. I don't think free time's anything to complain about, right?

[...heh. Then she thinks of a better question:]

What kind of books are ya looking for?

[A small laugh.] I guess not.

I like reading about folklore, but if you have anything you'd recommend that's not that I won't mind giving it a try.

[She's not very good at this whole 'making recommendations' thing. Normally she wouldn't even care enough to, but...welp, for some reason she does today. When's the last time she had a chance to sit down and read a book...?]

Lemme think about it. I'm guessing there's a library or a bookstore around here or something, then?

There's a library in Shibusen and a bookstore somewhere in the shopping district. [She knows because she visits both regularly.]

Gotcha... [She nods kind of absentmindedly as she thinks, seeming satisfied with that answer.] I haven't really visited them yet.

...But have you heard of Grimm's Fairy Tales?

Not really. [She knew what fairy tales were, but not the book she was talking about.]

Well, they’re not exactly folklore, but still a pretty good read, if you’re looking for some good stories that’ll pass the time. Not exactly children’s-bedtime-story material, though, so if you’re looking for something lighter, you can forget it.

[It’s been a while since she’s read them; she’s not sure how many stories are in there, but she does know they aren’t for babies.]

…Either way, Death City should have something for you. Have you gotten any other recs?

I'll see if I can find a copy. [Maybe in the library...]

Mm. Someone else told me about an encyclopaedia about Kishin Eggs that have been sighted, and someone else is lending me a book from their world.

...Ohh, an encyclopedia, huh. [She looks a bit surprised at first; but why should she be, when it's something they have to deal with them regularly here?]

Not a bad idea. That's one way to be productive during your downtime.

It would be good to learn more about the enemies we'll be fighting here. It might help later when I go on more missions.

[She's nodding, with a slight wave of her hand as if to say she gets the idea. Yeah, yeah.]

...Well, I guess you shouldn't let me stop you then.

[Sounds like she's got a plan, til she gets back on her feet. Smart lady, this one.]

Mm. It was nice talking to you.

[She just doesn't like being idle.]

[She nods, and she can't say she really likes it, either. Doing nothing...waiting. Finally, someone who gets it and is worth looking up to. Maybe!]

[And then after their goodbyes, she shuts off the feed. Kishin eggs, huh--

She has a bit of reading to do.]
