[ she had meant for the message to be bait (if Kanda is here then it's perfectly feasible that this BREW thing had russled up the rest of them - they are warriors after all) but she's lost so many things already that it can't hurt to lose her train of thought as well ]

The fresh linen and the food and the promises don't balance out blood loss, and the storm gets in my eyes and makes me tired. It's all at the wrong time, though I can't think of a right time, and I. I have people. [ her eyes crease, flicker and the feed ends ]

[It's pretty domestic. Sure, they bang headboards (that was how they ended up partnering up before this time last year... which is like three months in-game time I can't even....), but there's something there. Mostly that they don't want to address. Ever. Feelings are hard.]

As much as I can, I suppose. He's not a child. The kid just needs someone to punch Cross in the face or give him a swift kick to the shins for him on occasion, I think.

Then again, I suspect most people could use someone around to abuse Cross. [Her tone is very fond, so hopefully that implies that this isn't a situation of domestic abuse.] He is a very frustrating man.

[ she sort of tunes out after Allen's not being talked about. maybe that really is all he needs, although Lenalee doesn't think so (but mostly because she doesn't want to think so). ]

I'm sure between you and General Cross, he'll be fine.

I can't say for certain. I've only known him for a little while. He strikes me as the sort that smiles when they want to frown, that says "I'm okay," when he's anything but. The sort that doesn't want to bother anyone and would rather be miserable than talk about his own feelings.

But like I said, I've only known him for a little while.

I usually am an accurate judge of personality and character. It's always nice to be reassured of that.

I didn't think it would be right to leave him behind, considering Cross is the only one he knew here.

When I first came here, no one I knew was in Death City. It's largely remained the same during my time here, but I think I would have adjusted better, had I not been alone.
