Don't paint me ungrateful for this, but I don't care for this place's wars.

The fresh linen and the food and the promises don't balance out blood loss, and the storm gets in my eyes and makes me tired. It's all at the wrong time, though I can't think of a right time, and I. I have people. [ her eyes crease, flicker and the feed ends ]

I am sorry to hear that, young Miss. That said, I don't think that anybody with a good head on their shoulders will blame you for thinking the way you do.

Right now everybody is just trying to make the best of it, even if it's barely a drop in the ocean. Maybe you could help us by telling me what else could be done? Besides the obvious, I don't think that there's anybody of us who doesn't want to return to their homes and loved ones.

Not that she'll give herself away so easily. Rhode's had an especially bad day, today- And another Exorcist showing up is just one more drop in this terrible basket.

The girl is likely already miserable. It would be hard to make someone feel worse than they do when they first come here, after all. But somehow, some way, it might make Rhode feel better, to make the pretty Exorcist's unhappiness a bit worse. ]

[She watches her sadly, knowing all too well how this sort of thing feels and that there will always be people arriving here with the same sentiments. Each time is a cruel reminder, but the least she can do is add to the people offering their comforts.]

You're right, there never is a good time to be taken from home. Even if you choose not to fight in this war, there are good people here, so it can get... easier. [She settles on the word, not really finding anything else fitting.]

My choices really are to fight or to sit about, [ and both options make the inside of her skull itch with frustration; she's been thumbing at her temples for a while now ] it's a pitiful alternative really.
