[Rei looks incredibly sheepish when she turns the video on, running a hand through her hair. In her other hand is a little kitten that some might recognize from Duo's post before It seems to find nibbling on her fingers an agreeable past time, and Rei doesn't seem to mind]

I think I might need Cats Anonymous. I can't seem to resist anything cute and helpless... I'm going to become one of those women soon. [You know, crazy cat ladies or something. No one to talk to but her cats and the dog that looks like a loaf of bread]

This makes three cats and a dog so far. I might need to be stopped.

Ah, and I hope everyone who joined my photography class got their cameras and are practicing already. I'll be starting classes officially on Monday. It's not too late to sign up, either!

I don't suppose I could convince either of you to take one of my cats, could I?

[And on a more serious note as she lowers the kitten onto her lap] I'm sure you're already aware that someone else from your world arrived and was in the hospital. [...And now that she thinks about it, she never did get his name. Damn.] I just wanted to make sure he's okay. It was alright that I told him you were here, wasn't it?

[As nice as he'd seemed there was always the risk of him being an enemy, after all]

((OOC: I didn't put up any official sign-up sheet for Rei's photography classes. Assume that if your character would be interested, have seen the sign-up sheet by Rei's art gallery, and signed up-- OR if they talked to Rei and expressed an interest, that they've received a new camera from Rei! Nothing overly fancy, but it's a camera and it's theirs!))

No, this is not. I am lead to believe, however, from what I have heard of this Nepeta that we may come from the same lineage. Are you a friend of hers?

[She bites her lip and holds back a sigh] Nepeta is-- Ah, was, my weapon partner. We lived together for a time.

I'm pleased to meet you, however; my name is Rei.

You did? I am sorry if I got your hopes up, then; however, I am also pleased to m33t you. I go by Disciple.

It's alright, it's hardly your fault. [Rei smiles gently]

Do love cats as well, Disciple?

I adore them. Nothing is more comforting than curling up with a good book and a cat.

[Well, adding a Signless ups it a notch, of course]

I don't suppose I can convince you to take this kitten then, can I?

I would love to!

Perfect! You can pick him up any time you want. I already have some cat food and toys for him you can take with you too, if you'd like. I haven't named him yet either, so you can choose that too.

If you wish, I could do so right now. I am not overly busy.

That'd be perfect. Here-- [She sends a little map to show where she lives.] Murder Manor, first floor, room A. Pretty easy, right?

I'll be here all day, so take your time.

[It's about an hour or so later that Disciple finally makes her way to Rei live. She's very curious about this person who use to be partnered to her descendent, and of course is always happy to meet someone new. After sweeps of having no communication whatsoever she is rather starved for company.

She gives a small knock on Rei's door.]

[She puts aside some of her work for the gallery and stands, brushing her hands off as she approaches the door and opens it.

It takes her by surprise a moment--Disciple manages to look so much like Nepeta and so much unlike her at the same time, but Rei just smiles and steps aside] Come in, come in. Thanks for stopping by. The kitten's around somewhere...

[Probably hiding under the couch playing with lint. Cats, man.] Do you want anything to drink?

[scribes]

[She gives a small, polite bow of her head and nods. Now that Rei mentions it she is a little parched. She enters the room hugging her books to her chest. She had just come here from the Shibusen library and had taken a couple books on sign language with her.

Her eyes roamed the apartment with a curious eye before turning back to Rei. She pulled out her SC]

Thank you, by the way. It has b33n quite a while since I've b33n able to k33p a cat with me for company.

[Rei glances to her communicator, then to the books in her arms, mildly surprised] Oh-- You can't speak? [She looks curious, but polite manners remind her that pressing and questioning it would be very rude.

So she smiles reassuringly and turns to the kitchen to grab some glasses] It's no problem. I have a soft spot for cute things, so I can't help taking them in. Giving them to good homes make everyone happy, so I like to do it.

Is water okay?

[scribes]

[Disciple shakes her head to answer Rei's question. It was a little frustrating at first, but she's slowly getting use to it. Really, all things considered she doesn't have much room to complain about her current situation.

She makes a noise of assent when Rei asks that question. Seems like they have that much in common, at least.]

You and I are alike in that regard. Are there many strays in the city?

Not too many, thankfully-- or else they're hiding. I haven't seen many stray dogs at all, but I've seen more cats than dogs too.

Cats are better at not getting caught, I think. [She laughs lightly and pours some water for the both of them, returning momentarily to hand the glass over.]

Let me find the kitten... [She muses quietly, setting her glass down as she starts to search for it]
