[returning to text for this -- trolls seem to prefer it anyway, and he can't be sure about the other one just yet.]

I intend on participating in the coming mission, alone if I must. Before that, however, there are some people I would like to have a word with.

A man named Castiel, and a troll named Karkat Vantas. I would appreciate it if those two would please contact me.

What do you want with Cas?

[Defensive sounding much?

Never mind the fact that Cas wasn't technically a "man," but there probably weren't a whole hell of a lot of people that went by "Castiel" around here. And it wasn't exactly like Cas made friends all that easily.]

[well, that's a familiar voice. and given the context, he remembers where he's heard it before too. casually switching over to video and a private connection...]

[Oh. Hey. Dean knows this kid. Still doesn't mean he's going to let the fact that someone's looking for Cas go. He'd liked Kaworu well enough when they'd met, but that didn't necessarily mean shit.

So even though his expression softens slightly when he first sees the boy, it's quickly replaced with a frown.]

Kaworu, right? What do you want with him?

[Because he didn't answer the question the first time. Maybe this time around it'll actually sink in and Dean can decide what he's going to do about it.]

I assume you found him, then. I am glad. [but if he doesn't actually answer soon then dean will probably get angry, so he simply adopts an innocent expression and shrugs.] Nothing you have cause to worry about, of course. I am just curious about some things and I wanted to speak with him.

Yeah. I found him. [And even though Dean isn't exactly "angry" yet, he is still irritable and suspicious of Kaworu's intentions. He folds his arms over his chest and levels a Look at the boy.]

Some things? Like what?

Someone told me that he is an Angel. I was interested in learning more.

[sorry dean, he likes you but probably should be careful until he knows exactly what he's dealing with.]

[Dean just gives him a hard look for a moment before actually replying.]

Who told you that? [Was Cas seriously going around telling people he was an angel? Man. They needed to have a talk about this.]

A friend. I would not want to get him in trouble.

[Great. Well, there wasn't much Dean could do if the cat was out of the bag. Still having that talk with Cas though.]

And if he is an angel? What's it to you? [Yup. Still vaguely hostile. Sorry Kaworu.]

I am interested in that sort of thing.. You can relax, all I want to do is talk to him.

[He's just not buying it. Okay. Maybe a little, but he totally doesn't believe that you're "just interested." Maybe Kaworu was some kind of religious nut or something. Just what Dean needed to deal with here.]

Look, buddy, I don't know what your deal is. Just leave Cas out of it.

[he frowns at the mirror slightly, head tilting in curiosity.]

You are very protective of him. Do you think I am going to somehow hurt him?

[Dean scowls back.] I like you, kid, but I don't know you from Jack. And if you're poking around in Cas's business? That's my business.

Curiosity hardly implies ill intent. What has made you so distrusting of others? [poor thing.]

[He doesn't want your pity.] People have a bad track record. Why the hell should I trust you?

[what's with all you people and pity. it's called sympathy.]

I am not exactly "people". You were the first one to point that out.
