Spirit's decided that Kid needs a bit of time to rest, and is taking it upon himself to do what he can. He's really pretty disappointed he couldn't really go on the mission with everyone else, but well, now he can pick up the pace in Kid's place. That'll have to be enough.]

Hello everyone! Welcome back to those who went on the mission. I hear it was really tough, but good news! It was a success. The Emitter was successfully destroyed, and the witch guarding it was killed. As a result, we're already seeing a drop in Madness levels around the area. We're currently looking into the location of the next Emitter, but in the meantime, make sure you all get some rest. You've certainly earned it.

[He's looking at you, Kid. And everybody else he knows works too hard.]

We've seen that witches are incredibly skilled at stealth and subterfuge-- and the places we've seen so far aren't places people normally go to. They've used the climates to shroud their movements so far.

Climates? So, the elements? [A beat.] Wait. You don't mean that sandstorm, do you?

Just about anything unusual is suspect now. It seems like the Witches can even amplify weather hazards-- like the sandstorm or the blizzard up on the mountain.

So they're like Summon Spirits....[Spirit may or may not have heard that.]

They're beings on my world who control one element each.

Hmm... I guess it might be similar... It seems like a lot of witches pattern their abilities after animals.

Well, the Spirits aren't exactly animals--although they can look like it if they want to.

They help control the mana of the world--which includes the elements. [She pauses.] Mana is the source of life and magic on my world.

Ah... I suppose that's reasonably similar, then! At least, from what it sounds like.

It does, and each element is extremely weak against another one.

[She doubts it'll help, but maybe the info can be used for something?]

Hmm... Well, witches do have particular styles of fighting when you manage to confront them, and those always have weaknesses, too. It's just--terribly difficult to find them most of the time.

Well, if their attack is pretty strong in a certain area like water, then lightning is the best way to go.

I never went to school, so I'm pretty simple-minded. Having someone call me bright or smart is pretty rare.
