[BREW's bringing in another batch of new arrivals. Time to welcome them with the usual Death City hospitality, aye? There's an open thread in the intro log, so even if you're not volunteering to help welcome them, you can still check them out! Use this post to coordinate.

On a more serious note, the memorial service for one of your own will be held three days from now. The celestial bodies will be there, too...

Temperatures for today will be 52/45F (11/7C). It will rain lightly from morning all the way until mid-afternoon.]

[Soft female voice. If she didn’t sound so amused, it’d be easy to tell she is incredibly pissed due to the current circumstances]

Do tell me, are you actually helping this world and its war? I am sure all of you are dying [she loves to use this word when addressing to humans] to go back to your little homes, however, it’s no where in the contract saying you’ll be returned once the war is over and won. It’s a promise, yes, but promises can be broken so easily, can they not?

Are we supposed to believe them? To trust them? [Demona doesn’t laugh, however she hums]

Hm~ tell me more about your war and the Witches.

[good afternoon Death City. hope you aren't tired of new arrivals yet because here's another one.

it's hard to tell where exactly this particular old bespectacled man is recording from because most of the screen is taken up by the biggest hat in the cosmos. don't be intimidated, though! he seems friendly enough, though his attention constantly flickers from his unseen audience to a point just beyond them -- as if he's almost more interested in the communicator itself than who's behind it. the quiet muttering doesn't help.]
A mirror, eh? Curious choice...

[right, he's supposed to be talking to people. whoops! he blinks, starts, and smiles apologetically, refocusing.] Ah-- greetings. My name is Qilby, and I am an Eliatrope.

[an awkward, expectant pause as if he's hoping that by some stretch the term should be familiar to someone out there. or maybe he's just hesitant to address his next point.] ...I don't suppose I'm the only one that finds it rather tragic that by bringing us here and giving us these new abilities, they've stripped us of our powers that arguably could have been more useful to help end this conflict. And now we must figure out how to harness an entirely new set of skills... Well. They say you can't teach an old boowolf new tricks, and I doubt I'm an exception. [and his smile at his own "joke" implies that he is a very old boowolf indeed.]

That aside, I'm more than willing to try and learn. Tell me, how have people's experiences been? I'm afraid I haven't had to fight a war in a long time.

[and at that, he looks very tired.] A very, very long time.

Remember those golems I sent you? Time to bring them back in. I'll test their memories to see if they worked; I hadn't anticipated for natural disasters, which will be added to the frequency and blah blah blah fine tuning I want my stuff back.

That said, I need to call in some favors for -oh about tomorrow night. Just as a warning, there may or may not be another earthquake tomorrow night. That is if everything goes to plan. [8)]

Reno and Roy, I need to speak with you as soon as possible.

[VOICE. a slight cough; a few seconds of silence; and when he speaks russia's tone is calm and vaguely irritated, but one can make out a smile in that somewhat friendly and polite voice.]

Good day. Russia was here before, though that seems like .... a dream now. How odd! And yet, all the better if it were.

If, ah, certain nations and comrades can make contact with Russia, that would be much appreciated.

[a slight pause; one must have some purpose in these things, otherwise why bother opening the message to the public at all.]

Perhaps Death City can indulge Russia in a game. No need to worry about gains and losses and such, I think the city has a lot of that already! [ha ha ha.] It is a simple game, see. You give me three things about yourself, and I guess which one is right, and if I am right, I get to have your name. If I am wrong, I suppose you can ask me something in return, and I will reply honestly, for the duration of that one particular question, of course. Do choose wisely.

[there is a vague kolkolkolkolkol at the background.]

Of course, you don't have to participate, if you don't want to. Russia is only meaning to alleviate boredom and such things. I'm not the only one who came here, after all, but it is all very annoying and boring to not know everything and everyone. Being alone is so much trouble.

ooc; as the post suggests, it's a two truths and a lie post! russia will ask your character first if they're playing the game or not, and if they choose not to, they can just have a normal conversation with russia without russia sounding out the people in death city so far. have fun~.

OH AND RUSSIA IS REPLYING IN VOICE FOR THIS POST TO EVERYONE

[The camera turns on to show a suitably darkened room lit by the warm glow coming from two candlesticks. You see the corner of a tatami mat, and the edges of a dark pink kimono and a head of long, straight, black hair crowned by something gold and metallic. It's vaguely...skull shaped.

The princess (?!) slowly raises her head and...

Oh. It's just some weird frog.]

Welcome~

[And he's using a weird, high-pitched, girly voice.]

This Keroko is pleased to welcome you to our humble corner, my lord.

[He bows deeply, hands carefully tucked into his long sleeves. Then just as suddenly, all princess-like pretenses gone.]

Well? Wasn't that amazing, de arimasu? I've always wanted to try on one of these twelve-layered kimono, and then I just found one lying around when I got back, de arimasu! It even came with this really nice wig and headdress~

Ke-rokerokero~ The moment I put it on, I thought...it would be a shame not to act in character to match the clothes, so I did~

[Keroro twirls for you because he thinks he makes a perfectly lovely princess. He really is much too proud of this.]

Waiiii~ Waiiiii~

Ah.

I almost forgot, de arimasu. Eve-dono and I are planning on moving so we're going to have a house-warming party with dumplings, de arimasu. You guys have to help make the dumplings though, de arimasu. And try not to worry too much about the gifts, de arimasu! [Hint, hint. WORRY. Nudge, nudge. Get something nice.

Now. Back to twirling. He has no idea where someone got a Keronian-sized kimono, or how they deposited it into his house without him knowing. BUT: Free stuff!]
