[kuriboh_boy]

[The screen flickers on and Judai sits there blinking at the camera, a small smile on his face.] I’ve been thinking about starting a blog ever since I left Duel Academy. [His comment sounds idle and a hint of exhaustion creeps into his voice towards the end of the sentence. A moment later, he's all smiles though, shaking the camera a little.]

Hey! So, I'm new here! I guess... that's a thing that happens, huh? [He laughs and rubs the back of his neck.] My name's Judai! It's nice to meet you all! Or, I mean, it would be if you were... y'know... here instead of... [He gestures vaguely.] On the other side of a network I think??

[Judai pauses for a moment here and then eagerly reaches off screen, pulling his hand back into view with a deck of cards a moment later.] So I was think that maybe somebody might wanna duel me? It'd really be great! I love taking on new challengers, and since you're all new... [He trails off and his smile falters for a moment before he hitches it right back on.]

So yeah! Hit me up if you wanna duel! I can meet up with you wherever! Uh, so long as you tell me where I'm going. [With a snicker, he winks at the camera.] See ya soon!

[Judai laughs and scratches his cheek.] Yeah, everyone seems pretty nice so far. It's actually really cool to be so ... welcomed! Heh.

[shiromadoushi]

Yeah. It's pretty nice. I guess with how everyone's in the same situation, everyone's more willing to make friends.

I should be by in about a half hour, okay? See you then!

[kuriboh_boy]

That makes sense! [He laughs a little.]

Right! Okay! See you! [He winks at the camera.] I can't wait!

[shiromadoushi]

Until then! [[Smile warmly before cutting the feed]]

[[And in about a half hour, there'll be a knock at Juudai's door~]]

[It's all of about ten seconds before a soft thump echoes from inside the room. Another ten seconds and the door flies up and Judai's standing there rubbing the side of his head. He fell down trying to stand up in a hurry, whoops.]

Hi! [He's trying not to feel starstruck right now, and it's mostly working, but he still kind of stares at Bakura.]

...You wanna come in?

[shiromadoushi]

[[...what's with that look? Did he have something in his hair? Was his doppelganger in the hall behind him or something...?]]

Aa-- sure!

Everything all right...?

[kuriboh_boy]

[Stepping quickly out of the way, Judai lets Bakura in and then closes the door behind him, laughing a little... only a touch awkwardly.]

Yeah, yeah! Everything's fine. I just... I guess I never thought I'd get to meet you in person. [Grin.] It's really cool.

[shiromadoushi]

[[Almost wincing at the awkward]] Just because of Battle City...?

[[...he was going to have to explain about the Ring's voice, wasn't he?

...crap.]]

[kuriboh_boy]

[Nods excitedly.]

Yeah! I've read up everything on Battle City that I can! I've even seen some of the videos.

[Grins. It's okay, he doesn't really pay that much attention to details, honestly...]

[shiromadoushi]

[[...]]

Juudai-kun... that wasn't me in Battle City.... Not the way you're thinking.

[kuriboh_boy]

[...wait, what? Judai blinks and looks confused for a good long moment.]

H-huh? But you look like the Bakura Ryou I saw in the videos! Was... do you have a twin? [OH MY GOD, he came to a logical conclusion. That's a first. It's wrong, but STILL!]

[shiromadoushi]

It's... really complicated. [[and he has no idea how to explain.]]

[kuriboh_boy]

Oh... [That doesn't explain anything at all, uh...]

...well that's okay! You're still a duelist, right? [Back to grinning, grinning is easier.]

[shiromadoushi]

Sort of... Nothing up to the level of Yuugi-kun or anything like that!

[kuriboh_boy]

[Waves a hand dismissively.] That doesn't matter! You're still a duelist and that means we're friends! [Altering the usual rules for dueling someone first before nakama, but whatever. He really likes Bakura already. He's a cool guy.]

[shiromadoushi]

[[Looks down with a warm, and slightly embarrassed smile]] Thank you...

So ne, I did bring my deck over! [[Away, embarrassment, time for games!]] Though you'll have a big advantage, if you know Battle City that well..! [[a small laugh]]

[kuriboh_boy]

[Judai's actually really relieved to see Bakura happy again.]

It won't be that big of an advantage! Besides, dueling's just for fun, right? [He turns to his duffel bag to start digging out his deck.]

[shiromadoushi]

[[One good thing with Bakura: his periods of worry and emo are fairly easy swept under the rug at the first distraction. Though depending who you talk to depends if that really is good or not...]]

Un! That's true! Since there's nothing serious going on around it.

[kuriboh_boy]

[Judai definitely thinks it's good, 'cause he's very much the same way.

He laughed and scratched his cheek.]

I kind of duel for fun no matter what. It's the best way to keep getting done what you need to. [Even though it's screwed him over before, he still thinks it's a good principle to live by.]

[shiromadoushi]

Best way to enjoy the game at the very least, ne?

[[Since serious games were far too nerve wracking and games should be fun!]]

[kuriboh_boy]

Exactly! And if you take it too seriously, you're more likely to lose! [Skewed statistics for that one, but whatever.

He pulls out his deck now and grins.] Well, are you ready to duel then?

[shiromadoushi]

[[Bakura's not too sure about that one, but he'll let it slide because he wouldn't want to argue it. besides, Ryuzaki wasn't a good example for that anyhow.]]

Of course! [[and his deck comes out of his pocket of holding as well]]

[Judai starts shuffling excitedly.]

So you use, um... wait, I know this one...

[It's been a while since he looked up all the stuff about Battle City, and he's trying to remember what sort of deck Bakura uses.]

[shiromadoushi]

[[Bakura grins impishly]] Not as familiar with it as you thought?

[[Juudai would remember it soon enough. Hopefully he wouldn't be as squeamish as Jounouchi...]]

Hey, hey! I've almost got it, it's...

[He trails off for a moment and then brightens.]

Occult?? I think that's the right word!
