[video] late afternoon, April 9th
[When the feed comes on Hades looks notably worse for the wear. He looks as if he is fighting a bad fever, has dark shadows under his eyes, some slowly fading bruises all over his body and one of his horns is now broken. All in all he looks like somebody who only barely survived and hadn’t gotten near enough rest yet even though he has been unconscious for days. ]
Lots of things happened.
As already said by someone else my Meister, Edward Elric, is gone. I last saw him when he was busy desperately trying to save my life.
[There is a short pause as he thinks over the irony of it. His ‘life’, huh? It’s rather ironic.]
It seems that our ‘forever’ was to be a very short one.
[The sentence is said nonchalantly. To Hades the matter has just been settled with that.]
In other news, my younger brother Poseidon has been taken during the attack. Should anybody care about that I’d suggest them not to worry, because he will- [he cuts himself off, but the expression on his face says that it didn’t happen willingly.
Frowning lightly, Hades tries to say that Poseidon will be fine and return again, just to find out that he can’t say it.
Another attempt. Again no words can leave his lips. Gods can’t lie. Even in this new world Hades can’t, thanks to his queer Weapon-ability. Which means…
Something in his expression changes and for a moment Hades, God of the Dead and one of the most powerful beings in existence in his world, looks like a little child who has just realized that his parent isn’t going to wake up from that nap anymore.]
…Oh. He won’t come back. Poseidon is dead.
[The connection ends abruptly.]

[voice]
....I'm sorry.
[A pause.]
Do you need medical attention? You look...terrible.
[voice]
I was almost killed by a Witch and her scorpion familiars and lost some days afterward. I guess one could say that my body is still in a bad condition due to that.
[There's a thoughtful pause.]
I don't think I am.
[voice]
[He could not lie. That was what Hades told him.]
Is there anything I can bring to you that would make you more comfortable? You did not look as if you were anywhere near fully rested.

I-- I am so sorry that happened.
[Crap. She doesn't even know the man, and her voice, soft as it was, was breaking slightly.]
Do you need anything?
no subject
Nothing that you could give me, I assume. Did you know him?
no subject
I've spoken to Edward's brother, Alphonse, that's all. [He's nice, and she assumes Edward's the same.]
I'm sad to say I've never met yours. Would you like to tell me about him? Like when you two were growing up?

voice;
And it takes a moment, but she forces it out-- ] My condolences. [ Because despite not knowing him much, she knows the pain of family dying more than anything. And it's the worst thing. ] That battle really was rough, huh?
voice;
[He smiles lightly to himself, but it is more a reflex than anything else. Why Poseidon?]
It seems ironic that I dared a witch outright to see whether she could kill me in an interesting way and yet he managed to die while he was trying to punch over-sized arachnids.

[ Not even meant in a blunt way, it's just.. a statement, what she really believes. There's a lot of ironic things either way, no matter when, like how she wanted to die so badly back home yet never truly did.. ]
The opposite of what you'd expect always ends up happening. Especially when said opposite is something downright awful.

[ ᴠıᴅᴇᴏ ]
Mr. Hades are you...
[However, he's not sure okay is even the right word to use. As fate would have it they've both been robbed of their siblings, but his experiences so far with his brother's partner have been strained at best due to the precarious nature of their partnership.
So in the end Alphonse decides to skip asking the question that's already been asked of him what feels like a hundred times and instead opts to offer his services, because doing something is better than nothing at all.]
Do you need anything?
(OOC: And god I've been on hiatus and terribly busy with work. I have no idea what their home situation is like and what really happened with the last event. Anything I need to know?)
[ ᴠıᴅᴇᴏ ]
[Because, ya know, broken horn. It gets even easier caught on things like that and he finds it bothersome
and unlike with the rest this is a problem that can be solved easily.](OOC: Hey! So, from what I know both Hades and Ed's room were evacuated since they lived in the building that has now been put to use for the NPC fugitives from the floating island that crashed into the city during the last event. There's more (and better! |D) info on it in the latest mod post. What happened during the event is that Hades went out on his own (sorry, I don't know what Fue's plans for Ed were before they would meet) and got caught by a Witch. Things got messy and Hades ended up in a pretty bad state before Ed found him and did something very stupid and brave to rescue his troll of a Weapon. He brought him to the hospital but was transported back home at the evening of the same day, right after he returned to his home. I hope this helps!^^)

[It takes a moment and then the reason why clicks and he brings up his free hand to visually show that he understands by grasping at the back of his head.]
Ah for your horn! I could ask around... does it have to be a big one?
[Considering he's never actually had to file down something quite like a horn before he's not sure if a small one will suffice.]
(OOC: I didn't think tenants of Casualty Communal had been evicted given there were still plenty of rooms available for those coming over from Creeping Crypts. The mod post says Creeping Crypts is being occupied by displaced Bazaar workers. Considering Ed's gone the room has been given up anyway, but Al's always had the room next to 4C as his own anyway so he's there for the time being. Maybe I've gotten my facts confused though?
Anyway thanks for the info heads up, now at least I have a better idea of what was going on right before his departure!)

...I'm sorry.
[ video ]
Poseidon had been a younger god, foolishly human and much too blind for his own good.]
I knew that I was going to be the last one. I just did not expect it to happen by such a silly thing here. [He chuckles softly.] Maybe I am growing old after all.

[he does accept that poseidon might have really been a god in another world, but he doesn't have to like it, and he certainly didn't like him.]
[His voice gains a gentler note as he becomes aware of the irony of the situation that he's currently caught in. Once he had brought Apollo into a similar one, forcing the younger god to admit that he couldn't love the bond with his sister Artemis anymore. Now Hades has forced himself to admit that Poseidon, one of the Great Three and his first younger brother, has ceased to exist.]
...God does not lie. So it is the truth.

[She should probably be a little more sympathetic, but she was never big on brothers especially very loud and obnoxious ones.]
As much as I despise numerous washes myself, you look like you could use a proper cleaning up. I trust some people have offered to help with that?
Text
I got some offers and will take care of it once I feel like it again. Maintaining a body with fur is a bother at best. [and yet he's usually quite pedantic about keeping it clean and 'shiny']
