It has been a while. I wanted to check that everyone was alright after the recent mission and all. I am assuming we did not lose anyone beyond those that were mentioned, but it would still be nice to know who was hurt and who escaped unscathed. [eridan, castiel, yako...actually, there are a lot of people that come to mind, and unfortunately the only people he's gotten to see since the end of the attack are hospitalized.]

Beyond that...what is the best way to go about treating sickness?

[yeah, there's a reason why it's been a while, and why he's restricting himself to text for now too. hospitals aren't the best place to hang out when you've got pretty much no immune system at all, as it turns out.]

It is not that bad. [actually he kind of feels like he's dying. but he's blaming that on never having been sick before since the alternative is a really unpleasant thought.]

I believe sometimes in the rush of handling things after something like that, people forget to check in with their friends.

[Fabiola knows she sure does, if only because she's busy checking up on everyone else herself.]

Unfortunately, that does seem to be the case. At least, I hope it is that, and not just that those people do not think of me enough as a friend that checking in is necessary.

[though to be fair, kaworu is friends with everyone. it would be pretty hard to get all that in return completely, especially since people tend to find him more creepy than sweet half the time.]

I believe I have a cold, but I do not think it is severe. And how are you?

How kind of her- and yes it is, more or less. Tea with a bit of honey and lemon helps a lot too.

Lost of rest, stay warm and make sure you drink a lot or water or juice or tea. Soup helps too.

Sometimes I wonder if there should be some sort of 'Check in if you're OK' function for these things. After things like that... it sometimes feels so hard to tell where everyone is and how they are, things are so scattered!

Yeah. Especially when things happen so close together. One way or another they're gone. One's just a better way for them to leave than the other.

But what if a person is not "gone"? I have heard that the Witches have kidnapped people before. If someone were captured and simply assumed to have been sent home, then no one would try to find them.

That's why you always have to check. Their things vanish if they're sent back home. If nothing's changed... you know to go look for them.

I don't know. I don't know much about them at all, really. But I don't think they'd spend the time to remove someone's things if they made off with people again.

For either one, rest and stay away from other people, for starters. You're probably contagious.

Slightly. I do not think it is severe enough to be very concerned about...

[he pauses for a moment, a soft cough muffled behind a forearm just barely getting picked up by the mirror, and he sounds conflicted when he continues, like he can't decide whether to be upset or pleased.]

Yako already came over. I told her not to, but she would not listen. [careless, and dangerous to her own health, but she was doing it for his sake and honestly that was more care than anyone had ever given him in all his fifteen years of being human.]

Have you ever been sick before?

No. [ok, that came out a bit more defensively than he'd intended, and he pauses for a moment to collect himself before going on.] I had a defense against all dangers where I came from. Physical harm, UV rays, bacteria...I have never been at risk for sickness before, so I suppose my immune system is very weak without that added layer of protection.
