Hello, Death City! Hououin Kyouma speaking!
[The camera turns towards a cheerful Okabe and, in the background, the total mess that normally permeates his living space. On the table behind him there's a DeathStation laid open; it seems he's trying to fix it.]
I've decided that I want to try out this meister-weapon thing. My goal is to go on missions and get some experience with Madness so I can try and... well, reverse engineer it. It's worth a try, right?
Now, I'm not too good at fighting things, that's really my niece's forte, but I am good at sneaking around. I have no idea how to use firearms, but... er, well... [He spends a moment reconsidering whether he wants to say what he's about to say. It's embarrassing. He never thought he would have to bring up the fact that he taught himself how to swing a sword when he was 13 because he thought it was really cool- ah, fuck it.] I taught myself how to use a sword at a young age, and anything I can swing would be good, too. [There, that's better.] Also, something that looks cool, please.
If you're a weapon and want to gather some intel? [He makes the phone sign with his hand up to his ear.]

Cool! You know! Like sleek and stylish, or even comically overblown would work...
[He makes sweeping hand gestures in an attempt to describe a cool weapon to Spiky.]
Permavideo! \o/
Comically overblown? Doesn't that contradict the sleek and stylish?
permavid
[Okabe guesses. Maybe.]
Well, they're different kinds of cool, see. One is the real-world application of cool, and the other is fun. See, you feel like a badass either way. I figure if I'm going to need to take a weapon anyway, why not take on a weapon fitting of the greatest mad scientist from Akihabara?

You see, tsundere is the personality type that is cold and serious on the outside when they really like you on the inside.
So, you! [A grandiose point at the camera.]

You need to resonate, correct? What's the saying... [smirk.] Test drive the car before you buy it?

He just smiles softly into the camera.]
I haven't been on a mission at all, but madness I have experienced a small amount. I'd be willing to go if you are still in need of someone to try.

Re: [video]
Point me to where I can get training in and I'll take you up on that offer, and... [he gets a better look at the communicator.] and you are a frog. Okay.
Re: [video]
I have a subordinate who would be able to help you, de arimasu. And I'm not a frog.

Let's go gather some intel. [ She's completely serious. ]

Very well, then! I advise we get together and have a chat about what we're aiming to get from this. Tomorrow morning, and I'll let you choose the place.

[ Hey, if her last devoted partner was someone she beat the crap out of on a daily basis, there's a chance she resonates better with people who irritate her. A good theory, right? ]

If you're looking to produce a Calming Wavelength... You may find it worthwhile to seek out those that naturally possess one. Not to discourage you from going out in the field, of course. [le smile.] I'm sure you'd make an... Earnest warrior, with some refinement.
the handlebars you'd find on an MTB. but of course, not the handlebars one might call twin-tails
[Oh, he saw that post. And your video reply. You've sealed it.]
Thank you for the tip and the... er, moral support, Handlehat. ["Earnest warrior"? The last time someone said that to him was when he was 13 and suffering even worse chuunibyou than he is now. And that was his father. And he wasn't being serious.]
wgat
the most pained look in the universe is on his face.] Please don't call me that.
[mystery number two, or handlehat? or honorary lab member? we may never know.]
