Funny, I'd imagined that living off of people's charity would be easy. But in between the merchants refusing to take our credit-- and having to protect my hat from constant attack…
[qilby's got a face made for smiles, but even he has room for a brief, disgruntled look. those posters some jerk's been leaving around can't be getting to him, can they? nor can a bit of what appears to be civil unrest...
evidently it's not important, because the moment quickly passes-- he's excited about what he's come up with, as excited as his old body will allow him to be. if his previous record is any example, after all, he only seems to show his face on the network when he has something to say. change of subject.]
BREW has been acting more erratically than usual, as I'm sure anyone with minimal observational skills could tell. Just one of the innumerable mysteries about the way this universe works.
[a smile.] I think it's high time that the more inquisitive and scientifically-minded among us attempt to do something about them. If you count yourself among that number, I'd like to talk.
