it's hard to tell where exactly this particular old bespectacled man is recording from because most of the screen is taken up by the biggest hat in the cosmos. don't be intimidated, though! he seems friendly enough, though his attention constantly flickers from his unseen audience to a point just beyond them -- as if he's almost more interested in the communicator itself than who's behind it. the quiet muttering doesn't help.] A mirror, eh? Curious choice...

[right, he's supposed to be talking to people. whoops! he blinks, starts, and smiles apologetically, refocusing.] Ah-- greetings. My name is Qilby, and I am an Eliatrope.

[an awkward, expectant pause as if he's hoping that by some stretch the term should be familiar to someone out there. or maybe he's just hesitant to address his next point.] ...I don't suppose I'm the only one that finds it rather tragic that by bringing us here and giving us these new abilities, they've stripped us of our powers that arguably could have been more useful to help end this conflict. And now we must figure out how to harness an entirely new set of skills... Well. They say you can't teach an old boowolf new tricks, and I doubt I'm an exception. [and his smile at his own "joke" implies that he is a very old boowolf indeed.]

That aside, I'm more than willing to try and learn. Tell me, how have people's experiences been? I'm afraid I haven't had to fight a war in a long time.

What kind of powers did you have back home? I take it you're a mage, right? Did you specialize in an element or certain type of magic?

I knew someone back in my world who wanted to be a gold prospector, but it didn't pan out.

Not quite a mage, though it's not a bad word to use. My powers are shared by all the members of my race -- we learned to manipulate a life force we called Wakfu, and to use that energy to create portals. I believe it was one of my portals that brought me here in the first place-- [huff] --though it was completely by accident.

This definitely wouldn't be the first time I've travelled to another dimension, though. And it wouldn't be the first time I've been stuck in one. [a half-smile...] The company is far better this time around.

Hah, I'm not sure... Proactivity, I suppose. I don't think I could partner with someone who didn't want to work hard. I'd need to get along with them too. [as if he's given any indication that he's capable of not getting along with someone...] Someone supportive, and who won't mind it when I talk too much. And, of course, someone with a weapon form I'd be capable of wielding.

There could be a business here in matching partners up, honestly.

You could call them stories, but I think most people would consider them riddles. My brother had a particular gift for hearing our Goddess, and its in his poetry that he recorded her words -- that's as close to any holy text as you would find. [a bit of an embarrassed smile.] I'm afraid much of it was rather esoteric, even to me.

But I do know that our Goddess resided at the centre of our universe, separated from us by infinite stretches of space. [this would be easier with a drawing...] In order to see our goal of reuniting with her realised, it'd be a necessity to remain in motion.

I'm happy as long as we have the power to do that, at the least.

This is most impressive, Master Roy. And this is-- [a moment in which he double checks the dates...] --largely the results of only one month's research?

Security is all well and appreciated, but have you ever considered that you're in the wrong line of work?

Distracted... [ohhhh nooo yugo is only thirteen WHAT ARE YOU IMPLYINGGG] I-- I hope that's the case. As long as he's not in danger.

[and, ahaha, he's not hurt that he wasn't mentioned once. not... at all.] I'm only his Eliatrope brother, too. He has a far stronger connection to his dragon brother, Adamaï. If Yugo spoke of siblings, surely he'd be the first one he mentioned... [this is a little troubling.

but, oh well. surely there's a reason why.] I'm glad he settled so well here, though I'm not surprised. He always had a knack for making friends wherever he went. [ah! it suddenly occurs to him:] Oh, I'm sorry! I don't believe I asked you your name yet.
