[This evening finds Cupid on her couch again, a box settling into view in the corner of the feed while she makes herself comfortable.]

Wow, okay so- shopping for other people? Totally exhausting.

[As she speaks, she opens up the pastry box in front of her and withdraws a ridiculously decadent-looking cupcake, leaning back on her sofa and crossing her legs primly.]

Feels excellent helping them bring their wardrobe up to speed from whatever the last fashion era they got stuck in was, though.

[Not to mention she gets to dress people up all day. Score!]

But I've been thinking- since I got here, really- that helping people out with their issues might be why I'm here. Soooo...

What would everyone think of a little matchmaking? For people looking for Partners as well as people looking for romance- since really, they're both about compatibility to one degree or another. I'd have to make up some forms and stuff, of course, but I figured I should throw it out there, and see what everyone thinks...!

On top of that- would anyone be interested in an advice broadcast? I figure it'd be possible to broadcast over the network maybe once a week- folks can mail in questions for me to answer on-air, or just call in and ask live! What do you say? Good ideas or no?

[Though really, she'll probably wind up doing them regardless. She sits up a little straighter after a moment's pause though, and leans forward.]

Just remember- don't try and go rushing into something just because it looks right. Even in partnerships, I think finding the right one probably takes longer for some than others.

I think at this point I wouldn't mind settling for something that even looked close to right.

Hey now, I know it can be tough not being able to find the right person in any situation- but rushing into something that might not be right just because it looks like a good thing? Not the wisest choice. Just cool your heels a little- when it's the right time, and the right partner, it'll happen...!

But I'll be useless until then...

I'm sure there's plenty you can do besides fighting to be helpful in the meantime.

I guess. It just sometimes doesn't feel like much of it really helps.

There isn't much here that anyone can do alone...

There's plenty to volunteer to do though, as I understand it. There's a group that's helping to fix up the city, there's those people on the Watch, and then S.E.E.S. does a little bit of everything, the way I hear it.

I guess...

It just sometimes feels like it's not enough, when everyone else is out doing bigger things and protecting people.

I'm sure you've heard the saying 'every little bit helps', right? That goes for situations like this too, you know.

[[a long pause. He knows he's being unreasonably stubborn and being told what he's told other people. It just... feels different. Everyone else has been through so much more and much worse than he has, and he's just sitting around being caretaker and apprentice and not much else.]]

I just wish I could do more....

I know- but sometimes you just have to wait until the right thing for you to do comes along- or the right person to do it with.

That is the hard part, isn't it?
