[This was meant to be sent privately to Sion, but Akiha managed to flub the filter. Enjoy the show, Death City.]

[The video turns on to show Akiha leaning against the window in her apartment. In her hands is a violin. Without a word, she puts the violin in place and draws the bow once across it. She pauses and then begins to play a classical piece.

As her fingers fly over the neck of the violin and the music rises from the violin, her features shift from the normal cold, controlled expression to reveal a relaxed, soft look as she seems to fall into the music. Her eyes fall closed as she plays.

Once her bow stills, blue eyes open to look at the mirror and she furrows her brow.]

I'm rusty. [She certainly didn't SOUND rusty, but Akiha was a perfectionist.] This isn't going to work if I can't keep tempo. I knew I should have bought the violin weeks ago.

[She sighs and sits down, tapping the bow on her leg.] I should have also bought a metronome and now it's too late to go pick one up. Can you... build me something that will work as one?

[Yup, definitely not meant for the general public.]

Good morning everyone!

[For certain values of 'morning' at leastCupid waves- and then adjusts the sleeve of the too-large blue hoodie she's wearing, which has slipped over her hand mid-wave.]

Okay so first off- if anyone needs to find me, I'm at Jack's for a bit until my door gets fixed- which considering the state of things, apparently might take a couple of days? So there's that.

Second- I know the last few days haven't exactly been the best for everyone, so Jack and I- [here she pauses and turns her mirror to Jack, who looks momentarily surprised and then waves as well until she turns the mirror back to herself]- thought we should try and do something to lighten the mood a little. So tonight, movie marathon slash slumber party here at Jack's place! Bring your favorite dvd, I'll bring the snacks- and I guess you should probably bring a blanket or a sweater too, for the movies. It's understandably a little chilly in here.

Sleeping bags for the slumber party portion highly encouraged.

So let us know if you're interested, I kind of have to know how many people to prepare for, you know?

[And with a pause to pull her hand out of the sleeve of the hoodie again, she waves and turns the mirror off.]

[have a jack, looking uncharacteristically uneasy and standing in what is really obviously a girl's apartment.]

Anyone seen Cupid around? Y'know, does that relationship advice show, lots of pink, weird makeup? I hadn't heard from her in a few days, and there's all this fighting going on, and suddenly everyone talking about people being missing and there was no one here to answer the door, and...

[and he might have broken down the door to get in here. whoops. drawing a breath to calm himself down a little before he can keep rambling, he awkwardly runs a hand through snow white hair, eyes darting away from the screen.]

...Yeah. Just...lemme know if you know anything, alright?

[The video switches on to Stein in his usual place sitting backwards in his chair with his arms draped over the back, he looks more tired than usually but given the circumstances combined with his already hectic schedule it's no surprise.]

First of all I'd like to thank all of you for holding with us in these tougher times and assure you we're doing what we can to get to the bottom of all of this mayhem. But that's not what this is about today.

[When the feed switches on, it’s obvious enough that it isn’t intentional, since Yako is in the middle of speaking.]

—can’t believe you actually punched them.

...They had it coming.

[If he sounds a little defensive about it, it’s because he is.]

Takuto. I understand that...well, that in situations like that, you would naturally want to beat sense into the people involved. I know that. But that doesn’t give you the justification to actually hit them. It’s usually just a phrase.

[She sighs, and then goes to rummage in the freezer for a moment.]

[He’s silent, thinking over her words. But in the end, they might just have to disagree.]

Usually. But I’ve always found it to be really effective for really important things. And this was important.

Still, I would think there’s enough damage between friends done already on that front, without bringing physical pain into the mix...

[She emerges with an ice pack, which she quickly wraps in a hand towel and presses gently against his shoulder.]

[He’s kind of used to getting beat up just a little, so he takes the cold without whining. Besides, he is of course going to take it like a man in front of his girlfriend. But he’s silent for a long moment, putting his words together before he speaks.]

I don’t think they are good for each other. I think they can’t see anything but each other, and even then they can’t see what they actually do to each other.

[Yako is quiet for a moment, but when she finally speaks, it’s as gently as she can.]

Takuto, we don’t know every detail. I mean...I want to believe that they can handle this sort of thing. They probably—hopefully—have a long, strong history between them that led up to that incident. I...well, I’m actually beginning to wonder if I ever really understood him in particular, but...

[She sighs.]

I don’t know. Sorry, you helped a lot, but my head’s still a little mixed up right n—

[The feed cuts out as abruptly as it started.]

[There doesn't seem a time when Cupid isn't in a good mood when she posts. That seems to just be her disposition though, and she waves at the camera with her usual beaming smile as she slips out of her boots in order to cross her legs on her couch.]

Afternoon, Death City! Got given an early day at work, so I figured I might as well put up the info for my matchmaking stuff while I have the chance. There's three separate forms, and once they're filled out, you can send them to my e-mail and I'll get started on seeing what I can do to partner everyone up!

[She reaches for something just out of sight- a pen and some fashion magazines, it looks like- and settles them on her lap, opening up a magazine and fiddling with the cover idly.]

Besides that- I'm looking for a partner myself! So if you can use a bow, or if you're willing to learn, then give me a shout. I'll give just about anyone a shot, and I'd really like to get started on missions, so don't be shy- I don't bite.

[Not hard, at least- and definitely not unless she's asked. Or she has to.]

Oh- one more thing! It's the weekend, and I've got the day off tomorrow so... [She gives the camera her biggest puppy-dog eyes.] Does anyone want to hit a club tonight? All work and no dance makes Cupid a seriously bored kind of ghoul. If there's no takers I'll still go of course, but it's always more fun with friends...!

[ A little more fiddling around before Josuke's face finally comes into view. Of course, it’s not only his face. Hanging just over his forehead is his trademark pompadour, casting a shadow over his eyes. He might even take this opportunity, seeing as he is technically looking into a mirror and all, to push a stray hair into place. Maybe it has been a long day but it’s still important to look sharp. ]

It is working, isn’t it? Great.

[ He says Great but his intonation doesn’t seem to agree. ]

I don’t know who all is listening on this thing. And I guess there might be a war going on and all but hear me out. I don’t really know how I’m supposed to be able to help you any, without being able to use my stand or anything. It’s not really any of my business anyways. Dunno what you expect me to do here.

[ He points a threatening two fingers at the screen. ]
So what's it gonna take before I can get going back home? My mom is gonna cut back my allowance again if I’m out too late. I won’t let you off easy if it’s your fault I am broke again this summer!

Is there a place here in the City where I can find musical instruments? Not necessarily for sale. I just have the urge to play.

[ Audrey has the urge to poke and prod more at something she doesn't yet understand, more like. It could prove a useful way to kill time while she searches for a partner. ]

[This evening finds Cupid on her couch again, a box settling into view in the corner of the feed while she makes herself comfortable.]

Wow, okay so- shopping for other people? Totally exhausting.

[As she speaks, she opens up the pastry box in front of her and withdraws a ridiculously decadent-looking cupcake, leaning back on her sofa and crossing her legs primly.]

Feels excellent helping them bring their wardrobe up to speed from whatever the last fashion era they got stuck in was, though.

[Not to mention she gets to dress people up all day. Score!]

But I've been thinking- since I got here, really- that helping people out with their issues might be why I'm here. Soooo...

What would everyone think of a little matchmaking? For people looking for Partners as well as people looking for romance- since really, they're both about compatibility to one degree or another. I'd have to make up some forms and stuff, of course, but I figured I should throw it out there, and see what everyone thinks...!

On top of that- would anyone be interested in an advice broadcast? I figure it'd be possible to broadcast over the network maybe once a week- folks can mail in questions for me to answer on-air, or just call in and ask live! What do you say? Good ideas or no?

[Though really, she'll probably wind up doing them regardless. She sits up a little straighter after a moment's pause though, and leans forward.]

--oh, and before I forget... [She reaches into the box again and pulls out another cupcake.] Got something for you Jack!

[Have a very bored looking young man tapping his fingers on a desk. He is not happy. No not at all. His eyes turn towards the video and he finally picks up the device.]

What the hell kind of place is this? They give me a room that is completely devoid of anything worth my attention!

[It is one thing to be somewhere he did not understand. It is something else entirely to be in a place he does not understand on top of having to deal with below mediocre conditions. How is he supposed to function when everything around here is a complete eyesore to look at? Being on the top floor of this stupid building gives him a nice view of nothing interesting to look at like he had in Judoh.]

Is there even a museum around here? We could at least be provided with something pleasing to the eye. We don't all have to live like the poor. If this war is real then I expect to be provided something beyond subpar standards.

[Yesterday, she hadn't been in much of a mind to really explore the DEMISE network save for picking up on Kanji's message.

Today, she's had a little time to calm down, to take in what Kanji and Naoto had told her and now she figures it's time she tries to branch out so she's not relying on them for everything. Which means time to break her silence - and she never has minded putting on a performance, even if this is less performance and more teenage girl wanting to meet people.]

Hey. So, I figured if we're all in this war thing together I should probably introduce myself, let you guys get to know me a little and all. I mean, we are a team...maybe a pretty big team but even so, it's better if we're comfortable with each other, right? So: My name's Rise Kujikawa and I'm from a town called Inaba in Japan. If you guys know Kanji-kun or Naoto-kun, that's the same Inaba they're from.

Anyway, I'm sixteen and before I landed here I was in talks to restart my idol career. Which, for anyone who doesn't know means I sing and dance and do ad work and, well, pretty much whatever really. Or I did. And would like to again but, well. I guess this war kinda got in the way of that, huh?

Oh and before anyone asks, Kanji-kun and Naoto-kun explained this place to me yesterday when I got here. I'm still trying to make sense of a lot of it but I think I have that part under control. I just figured it would be a good idea to talk to people, have something else to think about. I mean, we are all in this together, right?
