I'm sitting at the mission board and I wouldn't mind taking one of these investigation missions, but I need to go with a Weapon. Anyone interested? Of course, I'm open to something unconventional, but have a little difficulty with these 'firearms'.

This always seems to be a problem. Perhaps someone has a suggestion on how to go about getting a permanent Weapon too? And no, nothing like stop being fluffy. That's a little difficult at the moment. But maybe the lack of hands is something to turn people away. Of all the times to not have thumbs.

Oh yes. An adorable 'dog' with red markings and wing-like swirls of fur here and there. Quite enjoying the game of tug-of-war too. I thought you were supposed to be smart, but really, unable to tell a wolf apart from a dog.

Most wolves are grey and wouldn't be able to be controlled enough to dye their fur. An Akita, on the other hand, could. Regardless, a wolf cannot write or use something such as DEMISE. It is a wild animal.

I don't exactly believe in gods, Wolf. And if even if they do exist, I've seen too much in my life to believe they care one bit about people.

So to me, it's just as absurd as a talking wolf.

Them telling me you claim to be a goddess won't confirm anything other than they believe in the gods. They're welcome to their own delusions as long as they don't try to shove them onto me.

I'm versed well enough in the gods of Japan, as I had to learn about them in my youth, but I have no gods. And my partner's god is Science.

I don't know what science says you are; I'm not a scientist, though if you're curious, I can have Sion take a look at you.

There have been many instances of beings with unusual powers documented throughout human history. The powerful ones were often seen and treated as living gods because humans had no other means to understand what that being was. That does not make them gods.

Where I am from, there do exist beings such as this even now, but I know they aren't gods and most humans don't even know they exist. Perhaps you are something like that. No, I don't believe you are an intelligent wolf or a god. But you might be something else.
