I'm sitting at the mission board and I wouldn't mind taking one of these investigation missions, but I need to go with a Weapon. Anyone interested? Of course, I'm open to something unconventional, but have a little difficulty with these 'firearms'.

This always seems to be a problem. Perhaps someone has a suggestion on how to go about getting a permanent Weapon too? And no, nothing like stop being fluffy. That's a little difficult at the moment. But maybe the lack of hands is something to turn people away. Of all the times to not have thumbs.

Why can't she do the independence thing when she's older? A lot older. Maybe ten more years... or twenty.

Kotetsu, you love her and she's precious to you, but she does need to grow and become her own person. You can help her, but don't smother her.

[Nothing but daughter talk, it's heavenly. Kotetsu manages to stop his moping and actually tries to handle this a little more seriously (mainly because it is just that hard to mope when you're being given a realistic talking to by the goddess of basically everything).

And yet he still manages to mumble like he's a ten year old that's just been scolded. Yes, Mother Amaterasu, he understands. No more smothering.]

I know...

All I want is for her to be safe, and if she finds a partner, I want them to help keep things that way. [Like how things are with himself and Barnaby.]

I know and it's something you two to work out. What are you even planning to do should she bring a potential partner home?

[There's a quiet 'hm' as he lets her know he's listening, though there isn't much else he can say on the matter seeing as he's always been at kind of a loss on how to deal with Kaede.]

I'm gonna talk to them, obviously. Think that's about all I can do, really.

All Kaede will probably let me do that is. Pretty sure she thinks I'm gonna scare anyone off. [Which isn't exactly false...]

[He has to take a while to think about that question, but when he comes to his answer, he's pretty sure it's the right one.]

Whoever they are, I think I really will give 'em a chance.

The last time I made a big gamble like that, it worked out pretty well for me.
