I'm sitting at the mission board and I wouldn't mind taking one of these investigation missions, but I need to go with a Weapon. Anyone interested? Of course, I'm open to something unconventional, but have a little difficulty with these 'firearms'.

This always seems to be a problem. Perhaps someone has a suggestion on how to go about getting a permanent Weapon too? And no, nothing like stop being fluffy. That's a little difficult at the moment. But maybe the lack of hands is something to turn people away. Of all the times to not have thumbs.

How strong are witches, exactly?

If I have to scale them, they would be a seven? There affiliation with a single animal gives them so much magic, but they can fly and other various abilities like that.

Yes. Shibusen recommends you don't attempt to fight one for some time.

How long is 'a long time', I mean- I assume there's a requirement for how much experience you have to have for fighting a witch but... I dunno, is there a hard number or something for it?

Well, the Meister-Weapon duo isn't expected to fight a Witch until their Weapon has collected ninety-nine corrupted souls.

Yes. Of course you can defend yourself, but don't actively seek them out. A close friend of mine did that while he was here and nearly paid for it.

I'll keep that in mind in case I ever run into one on a mission, though... here's to hoping that I don't.

You should be fine. Actually encountering them in a fight is difficult unless they decide to be direct.

Well, at least there's that. Do they normally stay out of things unless they have to, then?

Yes. Most often, we will be pitted against their familiars.

Correct. There's a reason for everything.

The more I learn about all this stuff, the less I think some of us are really suited for this sort of thing... [Mainly herself.] But I guess getting down on myself about it won't do any good.

I'm sure you're not the only one who thinks that way. Now that we're here, I can't abandon these people. They need help.

I agree. I'd prefer it if both sides could reach some kind of agreement, but perhaps it was order that started this conflict.

Honestly, I think if a peace could be reached easily, it probably wouldn't last. Sometimes things like this just have to be hashed out the hard way.
