[the distant sound of tapping can be heard as sugata murmurs quietly to himself. looks like he's too lost in thought to realize that his fingers accidentally slipped and hit the ever sensitive button on the mirror device.]

I can safely rule out being stuck in Zero Time. I think I can also safely say that I'm not at home either... With all the secrets the island has, I'm sure this would have been found sooner or later. [after a few moments of silence soft laughter can be heard.] It seems as if I've found a way to escape the inevitable. However I need to find--

[another pause. ah, looks like whoever was speaking finally realized that he was being recorded. the blue haired boy ducks out of view just to be on the safe side. after all he doesn't know what he pressed to activate it!]

Ah, hmm... As interesting as this place seems, I find myself tied to other obligations. Is there a way to return home? I was in the middle of something very important and I need to get back as soon as possible. [he pauses once more as he gives a small sigh. Well... now that this thing is on, might as well give it a shot...]

And if anyone knows or has seen a Takuto Tsunashi or a Wako Agemaki, please let me know. Takuto has red hair and red eyes and Wako has blonde hair and brown eyes.

I'm sure she's fine. It would be stupid on their part to hurt those they've kidnapped. Unless they want to get hurt in the end.

[need he remind you that he has yet to meet said girlfriend. he eyes takuto with slight regard. maybe it would be better to stay inside. for now at least.] I think we should save this tour for later.

The report said everyone who was kidnapped has already suffered 'minor injuries.'

[He gives Sugata long, flat look. As far as he is concerned, the kidnappers are already asking to get hurt. The dog whines and bumps his nose into the door.]

If you want to wait until later we can. But I at least need to walk Firecracker up and down the hall or else he'll get really annoyed.

I meant that it would be foolish for them to severely hurt them.

[his gaze doesn't waver as he looks back at takuto. he then turns his head to the side and waves his hand.] Fine. I'll be here, if you require assistance let me know.

[He's getting the feeling Sugata doesn't particularly like dogs. Then again, his friend seems more like a cat person for some reason.]

I'll be right back. Feel free to watch tv or... snoop around, I guess.

[Aaaand he takes his dog just outside to give the puppy the opportunity to pee, as well. And then hurries back up to the apartment.

There's not a whole lot for a snooping Sugata to find, though. There's an unused doggy bed in the corner of the living room with chew toys around it--though it seems the puppy greatly preferred to chew on one of the chairs. The kitchen is stocked like it belongs to two teenage boys, except for a row of hard liquor in the back of a cupboard that looks like it hasn't been touched in a long while. Snooping in the bathroom will reveal that Takuto uses a peroxide spray to keep his galactic blond look, and there may be a few condoms stashed there as well--free courtesy of the clinic if you must ask. In Takuto's room, there's only one picture, tucked in the bedside drawer, of Takuto grinning next to a person with horns and large batlike wings who looks nonplussed to be having his picture taken. There's nothing for Sugata to find in Yuugi's room since Sugata knows better than to snoop in the room of someone he's never met before.]

[how right you are takuto. but he will put up with firecracker as long as he lives here.] Actually giving me permission to snoop. Who would have thought.

[BUT SNOOP HE DOES! from what he sees in the living room, it's safe to say that the puppy sleeps with takuto in his own bed. well, as long as he didn't have to sleep with it, he would be fine.

as he pokes around in the kitchen he notices the liquor. while it wasn't something he was expecting to be there, it's not really surprising that takuto has it in. he just hopes that it hasn't been used to relieve stress.

he doesn't stay long in the bathroom however. when he sees the condoms stashed haphazardly next to extra washcloths, he takes that as his cue to leave the room.

when takuto comes back he will find sugata sitting on the couch watching a... very strange show with his legs crossed and his arms folded over his stomach.]

[The puppy of course has to go regreet Sugata by sniffing his ankles and wagging his tail. Takuto raises an eyebrow at Sugata's choice of tv, but doesn't mention it. All of the tv shows in Death City had some morbid theme anyway.]

Did you want anything to drink?

[He is kind of not the best host since he didn't offer before, but at least it's Sugata so it's not like it's some kind of horrible first impression.]

[when he feels firecracker sniffing some at his ankle, he reaches forward and pats him softly on the head. sorry buddy, it must be confusing to get a good smell on him since he's currently in your master's pants. feel free to sniff his hand though! he then turns his attention to takuto.]

What do you have?

[~~Sugata is so smooth to be in Takuto's pants so quickly.~~ The puppy sniffs Sugata's hand eagerly and then gives it a few sloppy licks.

Takuto, meanwhile, peers into the fridge.]

Uh, melon soda, water, orange juice, green tea.... oh, and some cola.

[~~i bet that's what you want takuto, ohoho!!~~ even though he now feels like he needs to go wash his hands, he can't help but smile down at the pup. he reaches over and scratches behind it's ear.]

I'll take some melon soda.

[Takuto nods, pulling two cans of green soda from the fridge. Obviously Takuto needs some, too. Little Firecracker seems torn between licking Sugata and going to see what Takuto is doing in the kitchen--food?! or attention?!--but ends up not having to choose as Takuto walks in and passes Sugata his drink.]

So, did someone explain to you how things work in this world?

[sugata takes the drink and sets it to the side for now.] Thank you.

And sort of. There are two different types of...people here, correct? Meisters and weapons?

[He nods, taking a seat beside his friend on the couch.]

I'm a meister. Did they tell you which kind you are?

[he shakes his head.] Ah, no. Someone said something about going to Shibusen and using a machine to see what type I was.

Yeah, I know how to use the machines there, actually. [He's volunteered once before.]

The other option is to find someone like Kid who can tell just by looking at you. [A pause.] Or I could push you don't some stairs. But that wouldn't work out too well if it turns out you're a meister like me.

[you get this look takuto.] I think I'd rather have you do it since I'm not familiar with... whoever this Kid person is, and I'd rather not lose my life trying to figure out what I am.

Kid's the shinigami. He's Shibusen's leader. [So he's trustworthy, okay? You don't need to know he comes across as an OCD teenager ~~with a voice just like Takuto's~~.]

Okay, so we'll just head over to Shibusen... later. [He frowns.] There's a meeting later tonight at Shibusen to discuss the rescue operation. We can go find out what you are then, if you want.

I see.

[hearing what he has to say next causes him to stiffen a little.] Right... We can do that afterwards. [he pauses.] So who is she. What's her name?

Katsuragi Yako. She's... [He trails off for a moment, because trying to describe her is difficult.]

She's very kind, and really smart. She's a detective, actually. She... she's always been able to say the right things, even when--no, especially when I haven't been at my best.

[A lump is forming in his throat. It's ridiculous that someone knows where she is right now and there's still nothing he can do to get her back yet.]

I'm... really worried about her.

[he tries his hardest not to show it, but it does sting a little when he finds out that he's kind of been replaced as the go to person to vent. even if he has to remind himself that he's been here for a while now. still though.

pushing past those thoughts he places a hand on takuto's knee and gives it a soft squeeze.] Everything will work out in the end, Takuto. Right now you need to conserve your energy for later. I'm sure she wouldn't want you passing out from lack of sleep while you are on your way to save her.

[He nods slowly.]

I do need to sleep sometime.

[It didn't work out so well last night, if you must know.]

[don't worry bro, he'll be here to help you through.] Why not now? When does the meeting start, I'll wake you before it starts.

[He blinks a little at his friend, a little startled by the suggestion.]

I... I can't sleep right now.

[Even though he's tired, he's still worried and it'd be... a bad idea. Given how his last attempt at sleep went, he doesn't want to attempt it while Sugata's just sitting around watching death-themed cartoons or something. He's kind of hoping he can go for longer before Sugata realizes just what this world has done to him.]

Sure you can. [don't make him take drastic measures takuto. 8|] I assure you I can take care of myself. A few hours won't hurt you.

[He nods veeeery hesitantly. Maybe having Sugata in the apartment will help? Also, now that he knows Yako isn't in the hands of the Witches....]

I guess so.

[He looks towards his bedroom, and then finally stands up.]

[he'll make sure you're fully rested to see your gurlfran, okok?]
