[Well, being almost!human sucked. Joshua, unfortunately, after a day of exploring the city ~~and discovering many fun shops!~~ is currently rediscovering what it means to be tired. What can he say. The battery life of an average human being is pathetic at best. 12 hours? 16? 18? Awful. The sun's going down, and the stars are out. He's currently walking to the apartment he's been allotted, but physical exercise is boring. Very boring. So! A transmission as he walks, mainly to kill some time.]

So~ While the little welcome get-together was indeed quite charming, I have a small question. I want to help with this little war that's going on. The faster it's over, the sooner I get back to doing what's important to me. If I can be some help in that it's better for everyone, right? Anyway, What's the best way to do that? Is it a case of simply walking to the Shibusen, banging on the door and signing some liability waivers or...?

[He's inside the apartment complex now, fiddling with a set of keys as soon as he clears the first hallway. A swing of a door later and...]

[Neku takes the wise course of action and starts from the 13th floor, working his way down. He's carrying what kits he manages to get in a bag he found lying around in his apartment. He does notice the gesture and expression.]

[And. A diversionary half truth. Because explaining the real reason he's looking at it almost constantly is quite a story. And one he doesn't want to get into.]

[He merely shrugs and walks on, feigning resignation.]

For a wish-granting machine, BREW is pretty terrible at actually making those wishes viable. Anyway, let's go.

It's probably because we have to play by the rules of this place. The only upside I've come up with is that any enemies from the other worlds are subject to the same limitations and rules set here.

Maybe you're right. About the rules, that is.

And are you planning to play by all of them? I mean the war, before you start thinking I'm asking you about breaking out. As you've probably worked out by now, our options on that front are kind of limited. It's not like you have to answer that.

[He's quiet for a moment.]

I'm thinking about helping out and joining. It'd be impossible for me to just sit here and wait it out. Plus, the sooner this war is over, the sooner we get sent back home, right?

I'm thinking almost exactly the same thing. If anything, it'll alleviate a lot of boredom. I can't see this city being interesting for any longer than a day or two. So. You're a Meister, I'm a Weapon. "Pact confirmed".

Hopefully, resonance is easy to pick up. Synchronizing should be okay, since the Game has a similar sort of deal, right?

Probably. And yes... kinda. I'm pretty sure that you know all there is to know about the Game by now, but sync is based upon how much two parties open themselves to each other. Of course, we shouldn't be fighting in two dimensions here but the same concept is likely to apply. Stay concious of me, and I'll stay concious of you. That's all there is to it.

...And don't swing me around like I'm some kind of two by four with nails sticking through it.

Yes, though it might be a little more than that. Part of me wonders if we can perform a fusion technique here. You probably worked it out since you saw mine and Megumi's "fusion", a blank pin isn't always required. I believe Uzuki and Kariya also gave you quite a display when they were on the Outlet Pin.

[ He hums quite a thoughtful note, continuing to proceed. Terrible business, that. Inventive, but not as inventive or as entertaining way after the Game, when he's completely on his own with no possibility of running the UG again for quite some time. And that whole fiasco really required a lot of cleaning up. Just like Megumi to leave something big as his trump card.

Though Joshua isn't showing it at all, he actually misses Megumi quite a great deal. But again he pulls himself out of his head, turning back to Neku.]

You'll see. Anyway, we're here. Do me a favour. Take these... Go in, and say they're simply a delivery for Rosalia. I need you to do it, if you don't mind. Then we can get to looking around for your friends.
