[Well, being almost!human sucked. Joshua, unfortunately, after a day of exploring the city and discovering many fun shops! is currently rediscovering what it means to be tired. What can he say. The battery life of an average human being is pathetic at best. 12 hours? 16? 18? Awful. The sun's going down, and the stars are out. He's currently walking to the apartment he's been allotted, but physical exercise is boring. Very boring. So! A transmission as he walks, mainly to kill some time.]
Howdy.
So~ While the little welcome get-together was indeed quite charming, I have a small question. I want to help with this little war that's going on. The faster it's over, the sooner I get back to doing what's important to me. If I can be some help in that it's better for everyone, right? Anyway, What's the best way to do that? Is it a case of simply walking to the Shibusen, banging on the door and signing some liability waivers or...?
[He's inside the apartment complex now, fiddling with a set of keys as soon as he clears the first hallway. A swing of a door later and...]
By the way. If anyone in charge is watching, kudos for the room.

You said that is the first reason. If there is a first, would there be any others to follow it?

I believe it's your turn.

My turn. Your name is Hades, isn't it? A son of the Titans Cronus and Rhea with three sisters, Demeter, Hestia, and Hera, as well as two brothers, Zeus, the youngest of the three, and Poseidon which collectively comprises the original six Olympian gods of contemporary Greek mythology. No other gods of the underworld spring to mind.

As for the other thing... You are well-informed about the basics of Ancient Greek mythology. However... Nergal in Acadia, Mot in Ugarit, Dis also known as Pluto, Osiris, Dagda, Morrigan, Hel, Yama and the aztec Xolotl... [he speaks each name as if it were a treat to devour on his tongue]
They are all gods who have been called the Rulers of the Underworld at some time or another as well. What makes you think that I am "the unseen" one?

Nergal presided over a netherworld, Mot is simply the incarnate of death, And you said that you belong to anybody and none at the same time. Dis, as you said, is merely another name for Pluto which is merely another name for Hades. It's not unusual for different groups of mortals to refer to the same guy under different names. Pretty common, actually. Especially given the fact they don't really agree with each other over anything all that much You're not green enough to be Osiris, Dagda and Morrigan didn't exactly preside over anything, Hel would refer to her underworld as Niflheim (or Niflheimr if you're feeling picky) and Hindu, Sikh and Buddhist ideals consider it Naraka, a sort of purgatory rather than an actual underworld. Furthermore, you don't look like a skeletal dog so Xolotl's certainly out.

This is not exactly the way I would usually appear and 'the Underworld' is simply a way to call my domain that most here would be able to understand, no matter what place and culture they hail from. Would it help your reasoning if I said that I am not married nor do I have any sisters? [Asking those questions is a test. An amusing one. It has been a while since Hades had last a chance to talk 'normally' with somebody in this place without having to make sure that his words were simpled down to the point where even the most slow would understand them.]
I said what mortals believed to happen and that they were not incorrect with those assumptions.

Hence I'm using mythology from my parallel of Earth and not this one~ A rose by any other name and all that.
Hey, Here's a thought. Since this place is so similar to early 21st Century Earth, have you ever wondered if you have a counterpart somewhere here? Of course, the fact you say you've retained everything suggests not, but these things are never really out of the question.

[He waits exactly a moment before he adds in a far more casual tone.]
Death the Kid. He is the son of the late Shinigami and the current death god of this place as well as the one who leads Shibusen. He is directly responsible for BREW bringing people from all over here as well, albeit that seems ti have been a beginner's mistake.
His address is Execution Mansion, Inner City Residential District, Death City. If you are looking for his working place, try the bureau at Shibusen.

[That's interesting. And not what he expected at all.]
Sounds like you're pretty close to him.

Not really. I disapprove of his ways, but popular consensus here seems to be that people want gods who meddle in their affairs directly.
