How is the night treating the inhabitants here thus far? I've been poking around the public network for information and something interesting has come to my attention. Can anyone explain to me what Soul Perception is and what the ability entails?

I'd very much so appreciate your answers regarding the subject.

Also, I'm looking into any places that are in need of an extra set of hands. I'd love something at night but you're welcome to contact me with anything. I make the best drinks and I can fix any sword you give me. I'm also versed in different types of sword-fighting styles. Soul Perception is an ability some Meisters have that allow them to see a person's soul and interpret the characteristics of it. It is through Soul Perception that Shibusen determines our roles as either Meister or Weapon.

I'm under the impression it is not a common ability.

Can you elaborate on that? The characteristics part? What exactly does that entail besides determining whether or not new arrivals are Meisters or Weapons?

...our souls are reflections of who we are. To describe yourself honestly is to describe your soul. For example - I'm a bitch that sees little need to mince words. Someone skilled in Soul Perception would be able to look at my soul and know to expect such harshness from me.

In other words, if you are attempting to fool someone about who you really are or your motivations, if they have Soul Perception and use it on you, they'll probably be able to tell.

[Okay so, she doesn't know what that is but she's going to assume that they're not steel swords given what she's been told lately. The thought of being able to break through steel in this words with one's bare hands doesn't exactly seem. . . .possible.]

Yes and no. It depends on the damaged done, and what exactly the sword needs done. Typically I can repair any 8lades that have 8een forged in steel.

From what I gather the Meisters who possess the skill use it by actually observing someone's soul and I'm wondering if this can be done without the vision part. There are limits to every ability and I wonder what the limits on Soul Perception could possibly be.

It also has a lot to do with a problem I've been having. [But she'll refrain from going into too much detail right now. After all, if Maka is really that curious everything she's mentioned about it is public in her video conversation with Tohno.]
