Hi, everyone! I'm Hiro Kageyama, and I'm one of the new arrivals brought in by that thing. I think that guy called it BREW? Yeah, that thing. I just got in my apartment about an hour or two ago, and after playing around with this communicator a bit, I decided I ought to introduce myself.

So... about me... someone on that opening tour told me that I was a Meister, which means I wield Weapon people. The problem is that, back home, I was just an ordinary high school student. I was never trained in the use of any weapons. So, if I meet any of you Weapons... could you teach me how to use you?

All this is kind of hard to wrap my head around... I'm still not really sure what to think. I just came from saving my own world. Kind of. It's a little complicated. I'm not sure I'm ready to dive into action again just yet. I guess I've got time to think... while I think, could you guys tell me a bit more about this place?

I'm... still not sure I get it. Then again, it wasn't like Polaris was an evil overlord. He was erasing us because he thought humans had reached their saturation point. Lost their wills to live, kind of.

Once a world is destroyed, it's gone forever. If you're smart, you'd know that it's not profitable at all to get rid of a world just like that, de arimasu. Everyone has a lot to offer, be they a daisy by the road, a prehistoric shark, or a Gundam model kit designer, de arimasu.

Whether they deserve to live or die, that isn't for him to decide, de arimasu. Besides, I bet he didn't even go through and make sure that all humans had really lost their wills to live, de arimasu. Sounds like something an amateur would do, de arimasu.

I agree. I mean... there were the people like us who were trying to fight against the demons. That's got to be some proof that people still had their wills to live.

Let's say Polaris wasn't an amateur. What would he do then?

He wouldn't be trying to erase you guys, to begin with, de arimasu. He'd invade, take over, and get you guys to submit to him willingly, de arimasu. To the point where you wouldn't even know what had happened until it was too late, de arimasu.

I guess that makes sense. He could make everyone start using their wills again... though I doubt he's actually that benevolent.

It's not a matter of being benevolent. The best relationship between the invader and the invaded is one where both parties benefit, de arimasu. Of course, monetary benefits are the preferred kind, but things like cultural exchange are also very good for everyone, de arimasu.

Huh... I'm not sure how that could apply to Polaris. I doubt he'd have any use for money, what with being some kind of omnipotent being, but I don't know if he's got any weird space alien culture either.

Huh...that is a problem, de arimasu. Maybe that's why he wanted to destroy you all and in such an amateurish way, de arimasu? Maybe he just doesn't know any better, de arimasu.

That's a possibility. Maybe all his weird alien overseer culture knows is destroying worlds instead of actually trying to fix them.

He could also be a relic of a long-forgotten alien civilization, de arimasu. Destroying worlds was more acceptable in the past, de arimasu,

That would be interesting, but what do you mean destroying worlds was more acceptable?

You see, back when there were no regulations, and not even a police force to stop things like kidnapping, theft, and murder, no one was really able to do anything about other worlds being destroyed, de arimasu. I mean, everyone was more worried about their own planets, you know? And destroying a world and all it's inhabitants is a lot easier than trying to be diplomatic or sneaky, de arimasu.

...Huh. So I take it that you have a lot of contact with other planets back home?

Of course, de arimasu. Didn't you? Or are you from an alternate Pekopon that still hasn't developed affordable space travel, de arimasu?

Ahaha, nope! Our planet was called Earth, and we had only traveled to planets within our solar system. Space travel was definitely not affordable.

Earth is what other aliens refer to as Pekopon, de arimasu. And you guys are fairly primitive then, de arimasu. You had the internet though, right?
