016; video; May 28th, evening
[Well, it's certainly been a while since she last showed up on the network like this. Then again, she's been a little busy...]
Good evening, my name is Aqua, I'm currently the Zone Leader of the Inner City Residential District I also help teach Weapons how to transform at morning training. I hope no one's had any trouble settling in so far. [Because she's met a few of you already and would like to know how you're doing.]
And best of luck to the people going on the mission. [Her voice up until this point had been polite and calm, though it falls a little in volume at this point it's, if anything, more earnest and heartfelt than it was previously but just as clear.] Please come back safely.
[The polite calm tone was back afterwards.] For now, I was wondering, how many of you have been in a war before?
[ Filtered to the Patrolmen of the Inner Residential District (Sheena, Re-L and Dualscar); ]
[She's...not entirely certain what kind of face she should show them. This was still a little new to her. She settles for a brief, but polite smile.]
I'm sorry I haven't really introduced myself to all of you before this. I'll make sure to do that properly later.
[Her mouth thins.] Right now, I need to know how many of you are going on the mission and how many of you will be staying behind.

[She'll worry anyway. It's hard not to, especially since she wasn't used to staying behind in matters like this...even if it had been her decision this time.]
So what do you turn into?
[video] Sorry this is so late!
You never know, though. We might have someone who uses something like that. There was someone here who turned into a fan and he found someone who knew how to use those.
[video] Haha that's alright I was on hiatus anyway!
That would be cool. It feels weird not having some sort of weapon on me, even though I know I'm a weapon myself. It's not like I can wield myself or anything, so being a weapon doesn't help me out if I'm by myself in a combat situation.

[She takes a deep breath. She is still getting used to the conversations over the communicator. It was a little easier when she was talking to Mina and she wasn't so deliberate.]
I'm Robin. I was a tactician in a lord's army on my world. We were fighting a war with a neighboring nation before BREW pulled me over.
[A hint of worry, when she says that.]
[voice]
[...yeah. She feels you on that one.]
BREW really does have the worst timing sometimes.
[voice]
[There may be something to it, though. It gets Robin thinking.]
Do we know if BREW has a conscience? If it favors individuals from troubled worlds, who are engaged in this sort of business already... ah, that would make sense. Experience is the sharpest sword, they say!
[voice]
No one knows much about BREW and even though it brings in a lot of people from worlds with conflict I've also seen it pull in people who've never fought before.

... I have a favor to ask of you, Aqua. You are staying here in the city, am I correct?
[Private]
What is it?
[Private]
If you can, help me keep an eye on Valentine and Sai on the network while I'm away. They're new. Neji or Fabiola might help me watch over them, but it wouldn't hurt to have another set of eyes.

We've met, ma'am.
I have plans to remain in the city. I assume a number of younger recruits will be eager for battle and ready to rush to the scene, leaving the city largely defenseless. Given the sentiment in the city, I wouldn't be surprised if the absence were taken advantage of.
There was a particular Meister I was interested in leaving with initially, but without much training with another Mesiter, I'll be of more use here.
[ He SHOULD be going out. But he had plans to talk to said Meister about individual missions, anyway. Besides, he'd seen too many wars to know a situation like this wouldn't be taken advantage of. ]

So we have.
[Her expression returned to being professional afterwards.]
As much as I wanted to help with the evacuation, that was exactly why I decided to stay too. [It had been a hard decision because Aqua was not used to staying behind, but she couldn't just run off without thinking about it while she held this position. As much as she was unsure about this position that much she still understood.]
And the leaders of the group behind the kidnapping are still at large too.
[ video ; private ]
[ He figured something was being done, but it was kept under wraps. ]
Do you know who's staying behind in the other units? We should know how thin we'll be spread across Death City.
Also if possible, I'd like to submit a formal request for more information on that topic at a later date. Most of what I gleaned was disorganized and desperate pleas for search and rescue coalitions.
[ video ; private ]
[She shook her head.]
I don't know yet. I was thinking about asking Neji later when I go to the office.
I think that would be a good idea. Even if we know it's the Witches who are behind this if we can figure out how things got to this point maybe we can help prevent it in the future.

People head out to missions and come back in a few days, our main location doesn't change. There's not much worry about bombs, airstrikes, or tanks, instead we're focused on monsters and witches.
[She wondered if that was true though...maybe she can ask one day.]
Do these differences make this war harder or easier? [Though she doubts you could call any sort of war 'easy'.]
