second dream ♔ voice (june 15)

[sugata was used to living a normal quiet life, so dealing with slow days was alright. but this was getting ridiculous. he wanted to do things! but he couldn't really do a lot due to an unfortunate circumstance. and if he had to watch one more death-themed cooking show he was going to blow. this cabin fever was going to be the death of him.]

What do you all do to pass the time here? Other than working or going on missions. [as much as he'd like to help, he can't really go out on any rescue missions right now.]

Usually I watch action series about the daily life of policemen, but now I've started a Korean comedy about a girl who works at a restaurant and wants to be the best chef in Korea who prepares Italian food. I wrote down some good recipes from that series...

Oh, I think I know what show you're talking about. But I don't know what it's called. I've always managed to catch the end of the episodes.

I have DVDs, if you're interested. I can lend them to you if you promise you won't touch them with greasy hand and don't spill soda on them.

Lending out? They didn't ask if they're allowed to take them. And when they brought them back they said it was trash. But I believe you. I don' think you would ruin DVDs. Do you live at Casualty Communal?

Ah, I see. Well rest assured I won't actually do that to your DVDs. And no, I live in Death City Heights in building four on the third floor in room A.

I can do either. Whichever is more convenient for you.

thankfully he's been to the casualty communal apartments before, so he doesn't get as lost this time around. he knocks on the door.]

In the next minutes he runs through the apartment if anything is neat and clean. The place is a surprisingly nice place, the home of someone who likes to live here. When Sugata knocks the door he opens it and gives the bluenette a reluctant smile.]

Hey. Do you want an ice tea?

[The DVDs are next to the door on a little table just in case if Sugata wants to go right after picked them up. The scent of green tea fills the air.

If it's not too much of a problem, then yes. I would love a cup.

Huh, why would it be a problem? The fridge is full of fresh, home made green tea, so it's not problem at all. Just look for the chair you like the most an I'll...

[Yamazaki goes to the kitchen and when he comes back in his hands there's a plate with two simple white teacups and a white teapot on it.]

I'll be right here with the tea. How is the weather outside? Is the heat still so unbearable? Don't you feel ill?

[I's not mere chitchatting. He really would like to know.]

Well in case you were busy with something. [and with that he steps inside and takes a seat at the end of the couch.] It's pretty hot outside. I thought I was used to the heat from living on an island, but I'm so used to being able to take a dip in the beach. So I never really paid attention to it. But that's not the case here.

[Yamazaki pours the tea into the cups while he's thinking of what Sugata just said. It would be pleasant to jump into the cool water in this hot weather.]

An island? What was it like? Did you like to live there?

[The thought of being surrounded by so much water is not too pleasant, though.]

It's pretty cozy. We aren't a deserted island or anything like that, we have a movie theater among many other stores. It's very beautiful too. [he's going to avoid yamazaki's question if he likes living there though.]

I see, so it was not an abandoned place full of wrecked ships and man-eating sharks...Maybe it's not as terrible to live on an island like yours. If only that much water was not there...[Yamazaki sighs and sips from the tea. Nothing is perfect.]

Talking about water... there is a lake in the park, and I didn't hear it's forbidden to swim in it.

It's not. It's very lively and definitely void of wrecked ships. Man eating sharks tho... you'll probably find those further in the water. [he's mostly kidding tho.] It does? I didn't know it had a lake. Though-- I'm not sure I want to go swimming in a murky lake.

I'll definitely won't look for those sharks. If they want to get me they have to come out of water...[Victory of logic! Where are the fireworks?] So did you like to live there? Is your family, friends, anyone you miss still there?

[they used up most of them to blow up takuto's room. sorry you missed out on that.] It was alright. I think the only person I miss that isn't here is my childhood friend Wako.

Are you saying yourfriends are here in Death City? Where they abducted, too? And who are they?

One of them was. But my childhood friend wasn't. She's still back home on the island.

[Poor thing, he misses his friend. Yamazaki knows the feeling very well, he misses his comrades, not his friends, though.]
