Meister Ability. Unless you master your ability, it is impossible to take your partner to Deathscythe level.

Naoto checked my soul when I first arrived here. Is it still necessary for me to attend classes for my Meister ability?

I know it's not morning training now, but I know I've been struggling with basic combat and understanding how things work around here.

I'll need to spend time outside of morning training to grasp everything properly. I'm not a warrior.

All Shirogane checking your soul did was confirm that you're a Meister. It does nothing to tell you what your special ability as a Meister is. So, yes, it is necessary to attend my classes unless you can say you've mastered your specific ability.

As for basic combat and learning to be a warrior... You're going to spend time with my partner. She will teach you combat basics. [Sion has more patience than Akiha did anyways.]
