Chocolate Buttercream Frosting | Video | July 22

[The device comes on and at first you can just see a set of full lips. After a moment it's pulled away until Bianchi is completely visible, a bit of flour on her cheek. She presses reading glasses up her nose and sets aside a wisk with something creamy dripping from it and sits down. Setting her chin on her hand she offers a slow smile to the viewer. When she starts speaking there is a definite Italian accent.]

Hello, I have been experimenting with some of the local flavors but it appears to be mostly standard fare in the local market. Can any one tell me what kinds of interesting ingredients are avaliable in this part of the United States? Most of my experience is farther east. And where is the nearest place to buy a black light?

[she pauses for a moment looking thoughtful] I have also not yet found the local chemist, or I suppose it's a pharmacist here. I have need of some special pharmaceutical supplies. Perhaps I'll need to visit Vegas.

I must say that I am not at all disappointed to be so close to Las Vegas. If I am going to be helping in such a place, it is always nice to have access to decent designers.

[Her smile slowly returns as though she's made some sort of decision before she presses a button and the image disappears.]

Well, I haven't really looked, but the point of malls was that you're supposed to be able to get anything from them, right?

[...no. Not really. But whatevs.]

I suppose some must. I generally frequent malls for clothing. But I mean the kind you must have a prescription for.

I see. [He makes an effort to look thoughtful, even letting out a quiet 'hm'.]

You know, I'm sure there are people who would sell things like that to you even without a prescription in this city. Of course, a law-abiding citizen wouldn't be able to tell you where to find them or how to contact them.

[He's not a law-abiding citizen though.]

Mmm as any prescriptions I might have would be back at home [The grand total of none], I suppose I must find some citizens who are less law abiding for the time being.

Well, as luck would have it, I do know a place where you might find someone like that.

[Not even bothering with a filter.]

How fortunate. Will you share?

[He sends her an address.]

A little place out in the Outer District call the World's End. Ask for the owner.

[Who is him, but where would be the fun in just telling her?]

[She saves the address and nods.]

Excellent. Should I mention who sent me? [Digging for a name? Never.]

Oh, don't worry, the owner will know exactly who sent you.

[He's totally not avoiding the question. Totally not.]

[And that implies he knows the owner very well. Or is the owner. She raises a brow.]

Very well then.

I certainly hope you find what you're looking for.

[And with a last wave at the communicator he hangs up.

Now comes the waiting.]

[Bianchi wasn't in a rush. In fact she waited nearly half a day before moseying over to the suggested shop, and she had other bags in tow as though she'd done a little bit of shopping. Bianchi was resourceful if nothing else. She couldn't afford much yet but that would change quickly with a trip to vegas that she had planned. She enters the Worlds End and moves directly to the counter waiting for a clerk so she can ask about the owner. As she waits her eyes can the entire building partially out of habit and partially out of curiosity. All exits are noted as well as places for cover and of course decor and upkeep.]

[Hyoubu spent as much time at the pub as he wanted on any given day. Sometimes that meant he was there all day and sometimes it meant he didn't even bother coming in (an then everything else in between). His employees were never entirely sure which option was worse but he had an uncanny ability to be there when he was needed so they let him.

Today was one of those days when Hyoubu was there for most of the day, reading a book at the bar. He sat on one of the stools leaning back against the bar with a drink beside him.

If she asks the clerk about the owner, he'll point Hyoubu out, though Hyoubu won't bother looking up from his book the entire time.]

[Her eyes land on the young man from the 'phone' call earlier and she frowns just as a clerk steps up. Her gaze goes slightly amused and she asks for the owner. Unsurprisingly, the same person she'd been speaking with was pointed out. Thanking the clerk she walks over to him, settling on a stool next to him and unabashedly watching him read for a bit. When she finally breaks the silence it is with the wry,] So, the owner will know who sent me.

[And he just continued to read as if he didn't even notice her until she spoke.

He smirked without looking up, then he moved his thumb so he could snap the book shut without marking his page.

He tipped his head to look at her almost lazily.]

The owner is an esper, you know. [He says by way of explanation. He let the book drop onto the bar top.]

[She snorted, very unladylike.] I would hope he only needed to use his eyes. Unless you're blind as well.

[He chuckled.]

I'd hope not. Otherwise it would mean I've been staring at this book for the past hour for no reason.

Could I get you a drink? The first one is on the house.

I don't question other's hobbies. [Lies]

I'd like that. [She settled on a stool and looked at him assessingly. He was careful at the very least. She wasn't sure yet how she felt about him. But that's what testing the waters was all about.]

You don't question them or is it just that you don't do it outloud?

[He waved the bartender over.] Bring the lovely lady what she wants. First one's on me.

[They can get to business in a bit.]

[She just smiled in amusement at that. The message clear that if she did question or judge people in her mind, no one would ever know. The reality really was more often that if she was going to do it, she'd generally do it out loud without any hesitation.]

[This really didn't seem like a wine type of establishment so she held up two fingers in indication.] Two fingers of whiskey, neat. [She gave the bartender a nod of thanks.]

[Hyoubu was content to ignore the bartender after that and focus back on her.]

So, I believe there is the matter of some pharmaceuticals you wanted to acquire?

Yes, there was at that. [She leans an elbow on the counter and rests her chin on it while she assesses him. He looks young but his eyes look older. ] There are two things I am looking for right now. [Both of which might raise eyebrows but weren't necessarily anything bad right off. Even if he can't be trusted she can cover her own ass.]

I assume you have channels you can go through to obtain medical grade? What kind of turn around do you usually have?

[Old and maybe just a little unsettling. There is a kind of look in his eyes that didn't quite match his outward appearance. Not just because they were older, but because there was something almost dead in his eyes even though he kept smiling.]

You will find I have channels I can go through to get just about anything. Weapons, art, alcohol, medicine, even rare vintage socks. You name it and I can probably get it or find someone else who can.

As for our turn around rate...is it good enough to say I only sell expired medicine to people who want it?

[Bianchi knew Mukuro. Dead eyes with a playful smile did not bother her even if they made her somewhat more wary of him.]

Rare vintage socks? [That earned a raised brow.]

I cannot imagine there is much market for expired medication. I am looking for Vecuronium and Chloroform, later I may need some gamma-Hydroxybutyrate. Preferably not expired.

There are all sorts of strange people in this world. [He says as explanation for both the socks and the expired medicine.

It was his turn to arch a brow.]

I'm pretty sure we have some of the first two in stock. The thrid one I'll need to check.

Just for the record: if you're caught kidnapping anyone, I have no idea where you got any of this.
