Entry #B-9: "Biography" [Audio, August 20]
BREW has sent Ryou Bakura home. Some might be aware that he was more than my friend, he was the closest thing to family I've ever had. I did wrong by him, I took him for granted, I undermined him, and he still never gave up on me. There is an hour of need, and then there is what Bakura did; he saved so much more than my life.
He left me most of his things, but... honestly I've no practical use for many of them. Tomorrow evening I am opening my home to anyone who would like to take something to remember him by. Refreshments will be provided, I only ask that you give me with some notice so I can make adequate preparations.

Ryuzaki? Is that you? I didn't realize you were friends with Bakura...
[Audio]
Were you? Friends with Bakura, I mean...

[And in hindsight, L might feel a little bad that he's been so caught up in other things that he did nothing about it.]
He had things that he was attached to. Clothes, dishes... cats... if you want to take some of them, I wouldn't dream of saying no.
[Please come over tomorrow and help unbury him. He would appreciate it so much.]
I'll have to say no to the cats. I'm allergic and already trying to find new homes for a couple. Maybe, one of his other friends would want them or the other things? We talked sometimes, even went on a mission together once, but I can't say we were especially close.
[Audio]
The thing is, there aren't a lot of his friends left, now.
That's true but shouldn't you hold on to them for a bit in case he comes back? I've been told people's things usually disappear if they're gone for good but if they're still here... [Could it just be a temporary disappearance like the times she'd been sent home?] Besides, I deal in vintage styles so they're likely too recent to fit with the rest of my stock.
[An odd look comes over her face for a moment as she remembers something and the next question is a tad abrupt.] ...Um, you didn't find a necklace among his things, did you?

[Back when zombies had invaded the city... Inscribed in Aramaic, it had been one of the protective medallions that she had crafted back home and she was unaware that Bakura had eventually used it on the drawer where he kept his letters to Amane. A witchy thing she should attempt to retrieve if it was still around.]

Ryou? Even Ryou?]
[Audio]
What size are you? Some of his things look flamboyant enough to at least match your personality, so... you should come look through them.
I... I will.
[And as it hits home for him that Ryou is... Ryou is gone, it's very clear that for Ryuzaki, too, an important person is missing. And it may be that leftover shirts and shoes aren't the real reason Ryuzaki is inviting people over. Even if Ryuzaki doesn't even know it himself, and even if he doesn't even agree.
That it's terrible to be alone.]
Can I come over now?
[audio]
Yes... I mean, if you really want to, you can...
[He's not sure why he said that.]
You're not home alone, are you?
[Audio]
[And he is drowning.]
If you'd feel safer with others around, you can come by tomorrow.
I'll be there in a few minutes.
[And for Takuto, too, being with Ryuzaki was better than being with just his dog.]
[Audio]
...OK. That's fine.

Eve's expression is quiet but, all things considered, not very melancholic.]
Are there any photos of him left behind?

[Pause.]
Are you sure you don't want to keep anything?
