BREW has sent Ryou Bakura home. Some might be aware that he was more than my friend, he was the closest thing to family I've ever had. I did wrong by him, I took him for granted, I undermined him, and he still never gave up on me. There is an hour of need, and then there is what Bakura did; he saved so much more than my life.

He left me most of his things, but... honestly I've no practical use for many of them. Tomorrow evening I am opening my home to anyone who would like to take something to remember him by. Refreshments will be provided, I only ask that you give me with some notice so I can make adequate preparations.

[The voice sounds familiar. The young man with the parfait who wanted to be a private investigator?]

Ryuzaki? Is that you? I didn't realize you were friends with Bakura...

[He's startled. He hadn't expected anyone to respond, in all honesty, believing everyone who knew or liked Bakura to be gone from the city at this point.]

Were you? Friends with Bakura, I mean...

Sort of, I guess. He was the first person I met in this world, back in that dark room when I first got here. But I haven't seen him around much for some weeks. [She'd started to wonder if he'd been sent back.]

He'd been withdrawn. Since Yuugi left, and the other Bakura, he wasn't really... present, even though he was here.

[And in hindsight, L might feel a little bad that he's been so caught up in other things that he did nothing about it.]

He had things that he was attached to. Clothes, dishes... cats... if you want to take some of them, I wouldn't dream of saying no.

[Please come over tomorrow and help unbury him. He would appreciate it so much.]

I see. [She sighed.] Yuugi used to work at my store and I reckon Bakura would have been upset when he disappeared. So, the doppelganger is gone too, huh? [That made everyone from Bakura's world, didn't it?]

I'll have to say no to the cats. I'm allergic and already trying to find new homes for a couple. Maybe, one of his other friends would want them or the other things? We talked sometimes, even went on a mission together once, but I can't say we were especially close.

Even if you can't take the animals, he had clothes. You sell clothes, and he took impeccable care of his.

The thing is, there aren't a lot of his friends left, now.

[It did seem like a lot of people had disappeared lately, hadn't it?]

That's true but shouldn't you hold on to them for a bit in case he comes back? I've been told people's things usually disappear if they're gone for good but if they're still here... [Could it just be a temporary disappearance like the times she'd been sent home?] Besides, I deal in vintage styles so they're likely too recent to fit with the rest of my stock.

[An odd look comes over her face for a moment as she remembers something and the next question is a tad abrupt.] ...Um, you didn't find a necklace among his things, did you?

...is it yours? Describe it, if you could, so I know it's the right one?

Sort of. I gave it to Bakura months ago. A carved wooden disc on a braided cord.
