Seventh Brew | Video | August 20, afternoon

[Judging from the racks of old-fashioned clothes that can be seen in the background, Lily is at Yesterday’s Magic this afternoon and she doesn’t seem to be alone. A fluffy gray Norwegian forest cat is sitting on the counter behind her and yawning.]

Has anyone seen Raidou today? [She sneezes and the picture goes wobbly for a moment as a black kitten in her lap meows and reaches a paw out to the communicator.]

I found his cats outside my shop this morning and can’t seem to get a hold of him or his partner. [Which makes her worry a bit that BREW might be at it again… That cotton-pickin’ contraption did seem to especially like sending certain folks back and forth.] If he doesn’t show up to claim them soon, I reckon I’m going to need a cat sitter. [Another sneeze.]

[And might as well ask about this too…]

I’m also looking for more help in my vintage clothes shop. I’ve rented the space next door and I’ve been working on expanding so I’d like to hire some more salespeople. Ideally, someone who wouldn’t mind also helping with the laundry.

Lily Ivory.

I'm a shopkeeper and run a vintage clothes store in the shopping district, called Yesterday's Magic.

[The little black cat interrupts by meowing and pressing its nose to the screen. Lily moves the communicator and checks the tag on the animal's collar before continuing...]

And this is Kemuri. From what I remember Raidou telling me, I think she's about 7 months old.

She's small.

[ clearly a kitten, all but barely weaned. he has a soft spot for them, he can't help himself, though it's been a very long time since he's entertained that part of himself. shutting down his humanity had been how he'd survived, before. ]

She is a little critter. I'm not sure how much longer it would take for her to be fully grown.

[Actually, Lily wouldn't have even known the kitten was a she if Raidou hadn't mentioned it. She's just never spent much time around cats due to her allergy. At least, it wasn't a murder like the last time she had to temporarily take care of a cat.]

[ he's guessing, but, he's sure he's mostly correct. ]

Have you owned a cat before?

[He sounds like he might know more than her at least.]

Yes.

[He's not the talkative type, is he? But Lily supposes having a cat before is a start.]

I reckon it would be good if you met Kemuri to see if she likes you. Maybe, in a few days?
