[ hello death city! It has been a while, hasn't it? He should post more to the network, he often gets such interesting answers. Kaworu is smiling, as usual, currently at a music store (thank you, Shinji), sitting in front of a piano ]
I have been wondering, what do you live for? What keeps you going and gives you reason to live?
[ yes, deep meaningful questions, Kaworu loves them.
Finally, the angel presses a piano key ] I do have another question, what kind of music do you enjoy? I'm very fond of classical, but I'd like to learn more.

video;
My friends keep me going. Without them, I don't know where I would be.
[ though the second question is a stark contrast to the first. ]
As for music, I tend to enjoy everything. There's much more variety here than there is back in my world.
[ Sakura gestures to the piano. ] --do you play?
video;
[ the second answer makes him smile. Enjoying all kinds of music is nice. It means she has more to make her happy. ] The variety here - is it good or bad?
[ and to answer her question, Kaworu nods ] Piano and violin.

[ hmm- she considers this for a moment. ] I think it's good! I like learning and experiencing new things, and the music here falls beneath that enjoyment.
Ah- I envy you. I've never had the free time to learn to play an instrument. Do you enjoy it?
no subject
And yes, i enjoy it greatly. Can you not learn how to play here? Or you don't have free time, either?
no subject
What about you, is your reason to keep going here in Death City?
no subject
There is someone I love. I exist for him.
no subject
[ oh gosh ] It always makes me happy, hearing things like that. Loving people, I mean.
Is he here, too?

i'm so sorry this is grossly late

For the longest time, I really wondered what I was living for. But a friend told me that at the end of the day, I had a job as a hero, and that was what I should do: help people.
But even that was draining.
Sometimes, I still don't know why I'm still here. But sometimes, I'm glad.
[The unspoken part of that was "I feel like my meaning to live came back with Matt." but that was something Karina hadn't realized either. She just knows that when she sees him, everything seems right in the world.]
As for music, well... I'm actually a musician and I've dabbled in just a bit of everything. But I like jazz best.
Video;
But aha, kaworu still smiles at that answer. ] have you found something you enjoy, that isn't so draining?
[ and ooooohhh musician ] Jazz. I believe I have heard a bit. Do you sing or play in this city, too?
Video;
I guess. It's more like... I found something to return to at the end of the day.
I perform at Dorsia almost every night. And when there's a special event here in the city, I play music, too.
Video;
[ the angel nods ] Dorsia -
where is it? [ he is interested, yes ]
Video;
[She says with a bit of a bite.]
Anyway, Dorsia is in the Financial District. It's a pretty exclusive place, but if you wanted to get in, just leave me your name and when you'll be dropping by. I'll have the maitre'd book a table for you.
Video;
[ Kaworu nods softly ] Thank you, that would be much appreciated. I'm Kaworu Nagisa.

I like my music heavier and less than a century old, but I suspect you wouldn't enjoy any of it.
[video | private]
heavier? [ a second there for Kaworu to think about it ] i'd still like to listen. How do you call it?
[video | private]
[The war is fun in a strange way, mostly because Mello has become very good at fighting in it.]
The music I like is called gothic or industrial.
[video | private]
Gothic and Industrial. Alright, I will look those genres up.

It's an interesting question, especially in light of how Death City is the only option for living at all for some of us. Are you getting good answers from other people? I assume you're not looking for a reason for yourself.
[video | private]
To me, it doesn't really matter if I live or die. But right now, Shinji and his life are what dictates my actions.

That person you wanna protect, right?

But right now, yes. That is what dictates my actions.
no subject
You're not really gonna be able to protect 'em if you die.

[ it hits him like a suckerpunch, and in the end- it's impossible not to think about neji, and itachi. ]
Then you definitely have to stick around now!
