[video] January 29, evening
[The video comes on to a kimono-clad lady who seems to be mid-tirade, hiding in a back alley. She doesn't know how to aim a camera at her face so you get to see her upside down, mostly a chest shot.]
--if I'm not checking the knitting of the bones and nerves he may lose use of his hand. Ken-san, his body is still recovering from fighting that Shishio Makoto! He nearly died and he needs treatment still! Not to mention, I have patients in Tokyo who are waiting for me to return. Furuhashi-san’s baby won’t deliver itself, and she is a first-time mother. Dr. Gensai will need my help.
Are you even listening? [She smacks the mirror with her hand a few times for good measure, frowning angrily.] I went on your "tour" and I don't care what you want me to do. I've had enough of this. You spoiled little "Death God" boy, and all of you brightly-colored-hair devils, you stop playing around with people’s lives. Human beings are not your pawns to control. Return me to that train right now.
[She huffs imperiously and pushes buttons. She thinks she has turned the mirror off, but has actually simply pressed the wrong button. Now she moves off-camera and is muttering to herself in worry and panic.]
Tch. What am I to do...? This can’t possibly be real--

Re: [Video]
Ah, what a lovely young lady. And so polite too.
So it seems, from what others are telling me.
Her cheeks flush slightly at the compliment.]
My name is Hanabi Hyuuga. It's nice to meet you.
[And then she focuses on a more notable topic.]
There's a clinic you can work at if you have medical training...or the Watch has medics as well.

[KIND OF HITS HOME HERE. Maybe for Hanabi too?]

Re: [Video]
You are completely right, I would also prefer that. But-- when you say "if we all help," do you mean that they need us to hold off the enemy so that they have time to study it? Or they're making that a condition for our release? If the latter, that hardly seems fair.

Re: [Video]
Hanabi-chan, you're awfully calm and mature, for having been caught up in all of this. How old are you, dear?
[Clearly being almost eleven means she is that much more grown up.]
Re: [Video]
My, you're a young lady, then. And how long have you been living here?
I go to morning training and to the Shibusen classes and I work in the Watch, so keeping busy keeps me from getting too homesick.
Re: [Video]
I think you've said something very wise, young lady. I will take it to heart.
