He nearly died and he needs treatment still! Not to mention, I have patients in Tokyo who are waiting for me to return. Furuhashi-san’s baby won’t deliver itself, and she is a first-time mother. [She huffs imperiously and pushes buttons. She thinks she has turned the mirror off, but has actually simply pressed the wrong button. Now she moves off-camera and is muttering to herself in worry and panic.]

It is, but if we all do our best to help with the war here, the people at Shibusen will be able to study BREW properly and send us home. I'd rather be patient and make sure they're sending me to the right place than take a chance of them sending me just anywhere.

[Megumi considers this.]

You are completely right, I would also prefer that. But-- when you say "if we all help," do you mean that they need us to hold off the enemy so that they have time to study it? Or they're making that a condition for our release? If the latter, that hardly seems fair.

It's not a condition for our release. The witches, the kishin eggs, and the madness wavelength are hard to deal with even with all the extra help BREW has brought them. They've been giving all of the guests free apartments to try to make up for the fact that we were brought here against our will.

Then it's simply that they need help, not a condition. I can understand that better....

Hanabi-chan, you're awfully calm and mature, for having been caught up in all of this. How old are you, dear?

I'm ten years old. I'll be eleven in two months, though.

[Clearly being almost eleven means she is that much more grown up.]

A little over two months. There are a few people from my world here, including my older cousin. I think that helped me get used to being here.

I go to morning training and to the Shibusen classes and I work in the Watch, so keeping busy keeps me from getting too homesick.

I've been training since I was two years old and I work very hard...so I'm tough for my age, at least. Neji-niisan is stronger.

My clan's fighting style is called Jyuuken. I'm from one of the five great ninja villages in my world, Konoha. My father is the head of the Hyuuga clan and it would be bad if his daughter was lazy or weak.
