Oh. Those? I figured that they're just another version of the usual monster number here. Y'know, working bodies but in this kind definitely no minds. [In any case, he finds it easier to think of them that way.]

Mmmm... they really did look like zombies, though...

[He grimaces. They really did which was one of the reasons why he had liked dealing with them the least.]

They did. Still, that wasn't life after death for sure.

[He leans back and sighs.]

You saw me when I tried to pick that fight with Haru, right? It's like that.

[[blink blink]] With Haru-kun? I thought you only fought with Ryoki-kun?

[He grimaces. Aw shit, his memories of tat night were pretty scrambled but adding somebody to it who hadn't been there sure is no good sign.]

Uhm, yeah. I had that kill all thing before. I tried to off Haru and leave the city by force shortly after I arrived. 'Ended with me in the emergency ward.

Eh? [[blinks a few times, eyes wide]] Before I was here, you mean? [[thinking of the scars Leo had showed off now...]]

[He pulls out a fresh cigarette and puts it in his mouth. Then he lights it, expression perfectly cool and devoid of any hints of what he might feel about it.]

I miscalculated and and ended up rammed against the pointy end of mister fail-red's scythe rather than bashing his head in against the asphalt like I'd planned. [He shrugs.] Shit like that happens.

[[where as this rather disturbs Bakura and almost unconsciously, he reaches out for Leo's hand]] You shouldn't be so light with your own life if you don't want to be painted as dead already... [[said a bit softly, despite his attempt to make a joke.]]

[He gives him a strange look as he instinctively pulls his hand back but stops before he can finish the movement.

He smiles.]

Ya know, there's a big difference between not caring if you die and not wanting somebody else to decide it for you. Taking the Candy has turned me into a dead man walking years ago, so I really don't care about it. As long as it's my call.

Candy...? [[You know that feeling you have, Leo, when Bakura backstories? Bakura's getting that now]]

Fire Candy. [He shrugs.] It's a drug that kills you by burning you inside out. First your tongue melts and then.. you've got a couple of minutes where the fire starts spreading and in the end - kaboom. No need for a coffin or an urn anymore since it's a pretty hefty explosion at the end.

[[Stares, eyes huge]] Wh-- why would you take something like that?!

[[asks the boy who wears a Ring that had been known in the paste to combust people in 3 seconds from the inside out.]]

[He grins tiredly and just shrugs his shoulders again. It's not easy to explain.]

Back when it first came out everybody thought that it was harmless. Just some new drug to get high and forget about the shit in your lives. Then the first ones started dyin'.

[He smirks and brushes his hair back as he leans back against the couch.] Once you take the stuff once you're set to burn, so who cares if you take it one time or ten? I kept taking it as long as it made me feel happy.

So it's like Russian Roulette now... [[says softly]] Only after the first shot, you can't put the gun down.

Yep. You're quick on the uptake. [He smiles, looking more amused by their grisly topic than bitter about what had happened to him.] Most people here just don't get it or don't want to.

[He stops and takes the cigarette out from his lips.]

Sure, it's fucked up and I won't say that I'm looking forward to it, but it's my death and my decisions that have led to it. They had no right taking that from me.
