[1] Ramen Bowl | Friday 12th February
[He's not really looking at his communicator. It's been abandoned on the floor beside him - he'd meant to record something-- but the moment he'd thought of something to say, he'd gotten side tracked.
With his shirt up, he's staring down at his stomach, pulling a face much like a childish pout.]
Oi, K'rama. It's about time ya talk t'me yanno? I ain't heard nothin' outta ya since we got here. We're both here, so you should at least lemme know what you think about this place.
[Cue a quick prod to the centre of his stomach-- He doesn't seem convinced though. As he shouldn't be. Kurama is not with him. He knows that much.]

Er. It's nothin', right?! Haha.
Yeah-- Guess I should. These things are weird, though? Someone said it'd be easy.
no subject
You were talking to someone... *She still looks a bit concerned over that* I guess it isn't my business.
Not something you have where you're from? It isn't too surprising if you don't instantly know how it works.
I'm Clare.
no subject
Er-- No, it ain't. [A little sharp there, Naruto.]
Ain't seen anythin' like it back home - it's kinda cool though, right!? They said it even has games on.
... Clare? Okay, well-- I'm Naruto. Uzumaki Naruto!
no subject
She might faint.*S-sorry. *Didn't know stomach talking was so personal.*
Yes, you can put games on it. *She's smiling, at least things are going better now.* Things like this exist where I'm from, if you got specific questions on it lemme know.
It is nice to meet you Naruto.
no subject
Ah-- It's okay. Not important, really huh?
They've got these things? They're pretty amazin' huh? I couldn't work out how to make it turn off-- but if it can have games on... Dunno how you'd work 'em, but you'd show me?
Er, yeah! You too... I think
no subject
*She'll stop a moment to stare at the screen. Something has her eye.*
You're from the same place as everyone else who wears those headbands, right? Neji and Gai's village?
*She's just going to ignore that 'I think' for right now. Because Naruto is just plain strange she can't take it personally.*
no subject
[The mention of his headband makes him look up, but he breaks into a huge grin, reaching to grip his forehead protect in a finger and thumb.]
Yep! Neji an' Gai-sensei are here?
[Did his expression just wilt slightly?]
no subject
*Guess he's really proud of his heritage...*
They aren't the only ones. Hanabi, Hinata, Tenten, Kakashi, Obito... There are others, I just don't know everyone here.
*Maybe one of these names will suit you better Naruto.*
FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF
I'm... here?
[He stares for a while, only for those eyes to grow a little wider at the growing list.]
Kakashi-sensei's here? Man... There's more than just that? I guess we're pretty good for the-- machine thingy.
Saw that~
Point the mirror at the largest building that's next to you, and I'll find you from that.
*Clare looks a little defeated as Naruto mentions 'machine thingy.'* BREW does seem to favor Ninjas to fight its War. Gai runs the morning training for people... not as prepared. And most of the Ninjas joined the Watch to help patrol. Still don't know why I'm here...
SAW WHAT?
He does as he's asked though, spinning it around slightly.]
Well, there's that place--
Hm? Oh. He runs mornin' trainin'?
Man, you avoid that, right?
Okay to move to action tags?
Err- *She pauses at the question about avoiding training. Also she's still not in the camera shot.* Gai trains people a bit more... advanced, than I am. I don't generally do any hand to hand training with the groups, and work on my Transformations instead.
*She'll leave out she has been avoiding that for the past week.*
Yeees~!
Work on transformations? I thought people couldn't do that stuff here?
Video --> Action
It's- *Sigh* Look, I'll explain that when I get there? It'll take me about 10 minutes or so. Okay?
*Clare pokes at her mirror and the feed shuts off.*
----- Ten Minutes Later -----
*So there's Clare, riding a bike heading down the street toward one of the buildings you filmed. Despite it being a bicycle, she's wearing a proper motorcycle helmet which looks ridiculous given her engineless wheels.*
*She casually glides to a stop little bit from Naruto.* Hi. Do you want me to start with your mirror and games? Or showing you what I mean by transformations?
*The quicker she finishes being helpful the quicker she can go back to avoiding people. Still, smiling, nice, pleasant on the outside, in spite of her current anti-social streak.*
no subject
Right. Ten minutes, I'll just--
[He didn't even know, but he waited, arching his eyebrow when he saw the bike-- that was... well, really weird.]
What are you wearing?
[It's the first thing out of his mouth, and he doesn't care so much about the mirror, or the gaes, or the transformations right now.]
no subject
*Boldface lie, she thought the thing looked cool. Apparently she was the only one.*
So, you wanted my help with something? *Let's get back on point loudmouth, before she gets fed up and leaves.*
no subject
Monsters attack here? [Was he listening then?]
Oh, er--
Yeah, I guess? Well, I mean I do.
[That's about the time he shoves his device at her.]
no subject
*Clare shoves the device back to him.* First rule of these things, user specific. I can show you what to do, but unless you key to my spiritual wavelength it won't even turn on in my hands.
It's a security thing to keep outsiders from accessing the network, like the ability to filter private conversations so nobody else can see them. *Clare hopes Naruto gets the hint,
but he probably won't.*no subject
Your whatnow?
[He tries to listen, and at least understand a little better - but even talk of a network is difficult to comprehend.]
Filter... what?
no subject
At home you have some special energy you use to do all your ninja stuff right? Here it's your soul, and your soul is unique to you. These- *She holds up her mirror* won't react to any soul but the ones they are told to know. So my mirror won't work for you, and yours won't work for me.
Got it?
*She looks serious, as if what she says next is something Naruto should REALLY REALLY pay attention to.* As for filtering, when you say things on the network you can filter them to specific people. So that only the adult ninjas know about your missing whatever that lived in your stomach back home.
no subject
How d'ya know about that?
[It's not important though, because a moment later he's listening, pouting and trying to make sense of it all.]
Yeah, I get that bit. I think. So, only people who can see their own thingy can see stuff that's just to me?
no subject
Because I'm very smart.
*It'd be a bit wasted here.*
If you post something to the network, anyone can see it, and any replies too. Unless you activate filters. *She thinks for a moment.* Think of it like this, most messages are like library books, anyone can see them. Filtered stuff is like passing notes in class, personal intel.
*Clare wasn't exactly sure how to go about showing him around his mirror, maybe he could mimic what she did on her's...*
no subject
[He's going to give you a look as if he really doesn't believe it, because he doesn't.
Wait a minute, you actually expect him to know about libraries?]
Right. Okay, so how do you do a filter thingy?
no subject
*She stands next to Naruto so he can see her screen. Then she very slowly goes through what to do to filter a message. She glances at Naruto's mirror to see if he's following along, which she hopes he does.*
This box here is to pick who you send the message to. It either gives you a list, you can type the name, or hit this- *Small microphone button, which she'll demonstrate now.* Uzumaki Naruto. *She pauses as it enters Naruto's name.* and say the name to enter it. Then when you record your message only they get to see it. When responding to someone there's this button. *A little keyhole looking graphic* That automatically locks the conversation to just the person you're responding to, quicker than the dropdown list.
Need me to go over that again? *Please say no.*
no subject
I'm lookin', I'm lookin'!
[It's mostly in response to that expression - because he's so used to looks like that.
He watches-- actually listens, and then--]
Hatake Kakashi
[Seeing the man's name appear on the screen makes him smile, and he clicks the button she'd pointed out.]
Oi! It worked. Er, I think?
