[ The feed seems to be, quite unfortunately, firmly fixated on what looks to be a rather worn and dog-eared lapel and maybe a bit of a chin. He still hasn't quite mastered the fine art of proper SC use. ]

Should anyone come across two siblings among the new arrivals, I ask that you inform me immediately. One of these brothers possesses height greater than most; the other, a unique orneriness.

But not the right way. That's like saying you're wearing shoes if they stay on your feet even without being tied.

By all rights, you are still wearing them whether they are tied or not.

But they're not right. You might as well have them on your head for all the good they're doing. It's just not natural.

It is natural to forego wearing them as well. My having a poorly arranged lapel will not affect my personal performance in the long run, nor will the absence of shoes.

[Monk closes his eyes briefly, as if he has to turn away from the sigh of an animal being skinned alive or something. he lets out a deep breath and then opens them again, staring steadfastly at that collar.

It's not just me, I promise. It's everyone with a drop of common sense or respect for the order of the world.

I once fought to maintain the order of your mortal world.

Symmetrical lapels were not prominent in this order.

[ Okay, so he feels more than a little ridiculous with his collar popped it is, but it'd be something of a waste to undo what's already done.

With all that attention on his lapels and his collar, it's pretty easy to forget his tie, rumpled and notably backwards where it isn't simply sitting askew.

Castiel is a paragon of neatness what are you talking about. ]

[there's a slight blurring of motion as Monk stands up and makes his way for the door. HE IS A MAN ON A MISSION NOTHING CAN STOP HIM NOW]

[ Alarm? Castiel is never alarmed. But right now, he's as close to it as he's ever going to get under similar circumstances and oh, that may be some blurring of the image there as Cas makes to stand up. ]

[the video's kind of skewed itself because Monk doesn't care about looking into it as he walks, so have a nice shot of some stairs as he begins walking up them. guess who lives in the same building? 8D]

I may add emphasis to the term "my attire". [ Well, it's not actually his considering everything he is/has belongs to Jimmy but that's not the point here.

Point is that he's heading to the door now and gracious the man looks like he's moving at a good clip. ]

[you bet he is. there are moments when tunnel vision are useful, and this is one of them. plus he only had five floors to climb in the first place. he'll be on the fifteenth in short order at this pace.]

[ he was still so accustomed to absconding at will that a manual bail-out is proving to be fairly tricky. for the first time in memory, Castiel is fumbling with the doorknob.

[Monk emerges from the stairwell, spies Castiel having difficulties with the doorknob, and breaks into a sprint having sensed the weakness of his prey.

[ HOLY SWEET LORD that man is moving fast

NEVER MIND THE DOORKNOB he's now just turning on his heel to attempt a quick and not-so-neat retreat in the opposite direction, though his take-off may well have come a little too late. ]
