[Have a incredibly proud and happy Toph, Death City. On video for once!]

So, Zone Leaders're supposed to introduce themselves, right? I know it's a few days late, but my partner and I just got promoted.

Toph Bei Fong, Zone Leader of the Entertainment and Red Light District. Nice to meet you.

[Yes, the blind thirteen-year-old girl who finally broke five-feet is the Zone Leader of the Red Light District.]

My partner is Temeraire, the big black dragon you might see around town. He is not a lizard, whatever anyone else might say. He's not a Poké-whatever, or an illusion, or a hallucination either. He's a dragon, and he turns into a six-foot sword. And I can use him. Remember that if you wanna cause problems in that part of town.

Death City is a...peculiar name, for a city. Well, I mean, it's rather...depressing, actually. [ Whyyyy would you name everything after death? It's...so morbid...oh but wait. She just insulted the city's name. ldkjflks ] Ah--I mean, I'm sure there's a reason for it! I didn't mean to...to sound judgmental or anything like that...

...Actually, I was rather curious about it all. I was told I'm a weapon? I'm not really...sure how that works. I mean, I don't feel any different, and I...well, I don't look much like a weapon. Besides, I've never fought in my life, and I'm sure I would look incredibly foolish if I tried to now.

It's not that I don't want to help. I don't particularly like the idea of doing nothing. It would seem unfair of me to do so, seeing as they've dragged me all this way. But...I wouldn't be very good, and...and I have important people back home. I can't just leave them all behind! So why bring me of all people here? They'd have been much better off with a soldier, or...or someone with more experience.

[The video feed turns on and there's a boy smiling hesitantly at it. He tucks a strand of hair behind his before he speaks.]

Good morning, I'm Shindou Takuto-

[and despite it being weird doing so to a mirror, Shindou bows his head slightly in greeting]

-and I've only just gotten here. I'm not sure how I can help but I'll do what I can. Oh, I'm a Weapon. [Adds the last part as an after thought because yeah it might be important.

Now his hesitant smile grows warmer and it's obvious this is why he's using the mirror this morning.]

Tenma, Kariya. Tsurugi said you two are here too. I hope you haven't had too much trouble although I'm glad the three of you have been together, at least. Sorry it took me awhile to join you.

[ The man on the screen seems quite at home in his new apartment, though his attire is certainly out of place on the cheap couch- A traditional Chinese changshan in a lovely shade of blue that doesn't seem terribly fresh. He's holding a pipe as he speaks, only just setting a small can of tobacco onto the end table. He has a British accent, and a rather nonchalant air that can only come from two days of adjustment to this mess. ]

I suppose introductions are in order, since so many have arrived in this odd little city.

My name is Lau, and I have been told that I am what this world calls a "Meister". I don't have much interest in battle, however- I consider myself a man of business.

In my own world, I operate the English branch of a rather prestigious trading company, but I suppose I won't have the resources to carry on a similar enterprise in the near future.

[ He pauses for a moment, taking a drag from his pipe, as though taking time to consider his circumstances. (Or just trying to look deep.) ]

I believe that the first order of business is finding a source of income. Does this town have any tea or spice shops that would benefit from having an expert in their employ?

[ On screen comes a kid dressed in all black, what appears to be a long braid of hair slung over his shoulder. He's sitting in a jaunty, cross-legged position on what looks like his apartment's couch, socked feet tucked under his knees. The coil of his braid is unseen in his lap, but well - that's a really long braid, let's just say that.

Duo salutes the camera, admittedly a bit of a mockery of military tradition, but what could someone expect out of him? ]

Yo, Death City, I'm Duo Maxwell - and I have to say this theme's very fitting for me. [ He laughs lightly. ] I like it!

I'm kinda a newbie here, though from what Kanji says I'm a Weapon. Hell if I know what that means, at the moment, but a burger was kinda more important. I'll lift my sorry carcass out of bed early for practice, though, no worries!

[ Grinning, always grinning. ] So uh, I guess while I'm here I oughtah get off my ass and get a job too, huh?

Mechanics is kinda my thing, I owned a scrapyard back home with my girl, so if anyone needs a scrapper around here don't be afraid to send me a message and I'll be right over, okay?

I'll probably see everyone around, since I have a crap sleep schedule and this is a new place - soo don't be a stranger, okay?
