[Some of you may be used to this beaming face being on your screens by now. Some of you may not. You are the lucky ones. But now you're exposed to it, and the owner of this face is unfortunately loud. He's cheerful, as is usual]

Good morning, everyone! I hope that all of the new arrivals are starting to get used to the city! I have spoken with some of you, but not all, and I hope to eventually meet with everyone!

I am Maito Gai, and there are two things I want to cover in this message. The first is Morning Training! By now you have heard of the war, I am certain. The best way to prepare for this is to attend Morning Training, held at the Training Grounds from six in the morning until nine! That is why it is called Morning Training. We teach partnership, basic, intermediate, and expert fighting, how to fulfill your role as a Meister or Weapon, and other things! Breakfast is provided so all should come!

We could use more teachers, if you have been here for a time and wish to help, or know things about fighting that you can teach. BREW has sent home more of the people who help and so we are... shorter than usual. I appreciate the help of anyone who teaches!

The other thing I wish to talk about is the Watch. I, along with my Meister Kakashi, am in charge of the Inner City Residential District. If you need assistance there, or something goes wrong, please do not hesitate to let me know!

I have a few questions if you have time! The first is if a few people in the city work to make everyone happy, and succeed, can the city be renamed to Happy City? Or Joy City? Or something like that? Because Death City is a very grim name. Also, has anyone tried hugging a Witch to defeat them? And finally... How did the war begin?

Just being along with her is a celebration of friendship as well, Tenten. Challenges are celebration of rivalry, but time by itself can mean a great deal! Is there something that the both of you enjoy doing?

We both enjoy shopping. [ Sort of. Tenten does enjoy it but they both shop for so very different things! They also enjoy snarking around others, but, that's not quite applicable. ] And I'm sure we both enjoy missions that we can succeed at.

Shopping is good! Provided one does not spend too much! Does she enjoy training at all? Or do you share a favorite food in common? There are some very interesting things to try! Like [He makes quotation marks] 'pizza' and 'cheeseburgers!'

Pizza and cheeseburgers? [ She vaguely recalls Santana mentioning both of them when Tenten asked what do people eat. ] I'll have to try those with her! [ She gives an affirmative nod. ]

She's starting to enjoy training. Maybe some one on one lessons can help her out, and we both like Sesame Chicken! [ and wine but that's another story for another time when Guy-sensei can handle the thought of his precious flower doing that sort of stuff!!! ]

Pizza can be healthy if it is done right. I do not think cheeseburgers can. But they are worth trying! Many things are!

[He beams. Bonding over training? Tenten, you're talking directly to his heart.] I'm a pleased that you have helped her find a love of training! You are truly my student!

With my level of exercise and effort, it'd take an entire truck of both foods to down me, Guy-sensei. [ Nope. It's not like she'll go out of shape if she eats one of those every now and then....

OH GOD GUY-SENSEI NOT IN PUBLIC.... ] Well, she's always had in it her. She's not one to do something she doesn't like. And she's showed up to cheerleading practice all the time at home. [ It wasn't all her, was it?! ]

It is never bad to pay attention to healthy eating, though! [It's the same with him, which is why he'd tried a few different things.]

And you have always had it in you to encourage others to become more than they were before, my flower. [It totally was.]

Yeah, I know, Guy-sensei. If I let myself go, I'd never hear the end of it. The fitness plan you'd give me to regain my former glory would be excruciating. [ And briefly, Tenten imagines herself and Guy-sensei.

Except Tenten is about four-hundred pounds heavier, and is carrying Guy-sensei around town as part of her "training". She must run five miles an hour, or else Guy-sensei tacks on another five minutes to running.

It's that image that practically swears her off of these types of foods forever, even if pizza is legally a vegetable. ]

Eh? I don't think so. I mean, I knocked down Lee at every chance I could get.

I would never let you let yourself go! I would know right away and I would spur you on to greater things!

[He smiles indulgently.]

You grew up, Tenten, as a plant flowers in the spring.

Oh, believe me, I know. [ That image will never leave her mind now! ]

Ah! Guy-sensei! Don't say stuff like that. That's just way too mushy! [ And sort of weird. She knew she changed, but she didn't know she changed that much. Then again, Guy-sensei would be able to see things from a more neutral perspective and not from ...Tenten's 10/10 perspective. ]

It is not too mushy when it is true! True things are never too sappy or mushy! And there are many true things about my team and my rival that are emotional and so they should not be so easily dismissed!

True things can be mushy. If you list every positive quality you observed about Kakashi-sensei, all of Death City would be in need of cavity fillings. [ Her attempts to hold it in and not giggle fail miserably. After her sentence, the giggles are very audible. ]

They can be mushy, but not too much! The truth filters that down! [Hearing her giggle makes the protests feel a bit more futile, but Gai tries anyway.] I do not gush too much! I gush just the right amount!

You do actually. You give the perfect amount of praise. You could work on the content though. I don't think I'm that perfect. You make me sound like I could rival the sage of the six paths! [ Which she sort of takes lovingly! You are so cute Guy-sensei ♥ ]

Once we find a way to work on your amount of chakra, I do not see why you could not!

It'd take an obscene amount of chakra to match him, Guy-sensei!

Hard work, determination, and training will get those who follow it all anywhere!

Even to have as much chakra as the six paths? I'm not sure if that's in reach, I mean, I don't think I could even get it towards Bijuu level, Guy-sensei. [ I mean, they just naturally have a lot of chakra! ]

Do not let doubt hold you back, my Flower!

It's not doubt. It's realism. I can have a decent chakra pool, but I'll never have anything like the father of ninjutsu.

We could take this on as a challenge! See about improving what is known about chakra!

A challenge...? [ uh oh. this isn't going to end in victory. ] But don't you usually reserve those for Kakashi-sensei?

It is not actually a challenge, because yes! Those are for Kakashi! But as a challenge, like it, but something long term, a focus for our training! It is something we should work on already, because it is very likely the spot you need work on.

I'd be happy to work on my stamina. That is a place I really want to focus on. Especially if I ever get the Bashosen back!

Then let us work together on that!
