I do -- to some degree. It's a very human quality, and while someone may be confident in one thing there will always be something else in which they lack confidence.
I suppose it would depend on the person, whether you get to know them well through text. But I, personally, tend to be more comfortable when I'm not hiding behind the veil of anonymity. There's a great deal more you can tell about a person just by seeing their facial expressions as well as hearing their voice. Nuances that I feel would get confused or missed entirely when speaking on a text-only basis.
