Ah, I can't help feeling that things are a little quiet around here right, now. I know I should probably feel glad considering the alternative, but I guess I find it all too easy to become bored.

I've heard the news that there may be a serial killer in our midst, but it's hard to feel concern for something when it's at a remove from you, right? It's a big city after all, and it's easy to put your mind to rest and think that such a thing will never happen to you. Only, perhaps the people who were killed used to think exactly the same thing? I wonder.

Anyway! Perhaps it's better to concentrate on something a little less morbid. And since I said I was bored...maybe some of you can tell me what you like to do for fun around here? Is there anything you particularly like about Death City? Or even things you really dislike? Give me some ideas ☆

Although I could be wrong, I would say there's nothing to worry about. If the one responsible for these murders is indeed the same person, then he or she has not targeted any of the guests. More importantly, there seems to be a set pattern to the murders and considering you seem to be an upstanding and morally sound individual, K-chan, I don't believe you would become a target.

Ah, I expect you're right, Light-kun. There does seem to be a recognisable pattern forming, and if the suspicions about the killings being the work of a serial killer are correct, it'd be highly unlikely for them to deviate from that pattern too dramatically, I suspect. Nothing I need concern myself with, then.

I'm more amused at how some people seem to think that everybody's capable of taking care of themselves, and therefore don't need warnings.

I do believe that the citizens, whether guests or not, need to be vigilent when travelling through the streets.

Whether this is the act of a serial killer or multiple murderers in this city, they will all face the full extent of the law once the assailant or assailants are caught. The city is doing everything it can to bring the guilty ones to justice.

Of course. Utilising caution, especially in a place like this and given the current threat, would always be the wisest course of action.

I'm sure they're doing their best. The law isn't infallible, however. People get away with murder all the time.

I'm not in much of a position to say, if I'm honest. I've only been here since the 28th of last month. But this kind of news has been common since my arrival, sure.

It may be a big city here, but it isn't so large that when trouble is afoot anyone can still be so carefree when they're out.

Perhaps not, but a lot of people may not view it that way, don't you think? It's hard to imagine that anything like that would happen to you.

No. It's pretty easy to feel concerned. Those poor people... even though they were criminals, what happened to them is just too awful.

Somebody who kills like that can't be trusted. Just because they've targeted suspects up until now, doesn't mean they couldn't turn on regular people next.

But yeah, fun things - do you like to swim, K-chan? They have an indoor pool, I'm pretty sure, and I'm going to start using it once my ankle's a little stronger. I understand your position though. Most of my hobbies are things I can only do back home. Swimming's one of the few things I've got left.

I doubt everyone feels the same way. Some people have probably barely even taken any notice of the news. And while I guess it is a possibility that anyone could become the next victim, if it really is a serial killer they'll be more inclined to conform to type. It's the way serial killers work, for the most part.

I don't mind swimming, though it's not exactly a hobby of mine. And I suppose I haven't been here long enough yet to work out whether I can carry on with most of my hobbies here, but I'm sure I can work it out once I've got to know the place and the people a little better.

Isn't it a characteristic trait of any system that handles with big numbers that a fallout of a few individuals gets barely noticed? I think it is the same in a human society.

Pretty much. If this was a small town or village people would take a lot more notice, but in a big anonymous city? Stuff like this slips through all too easily.

That's a big question! There are a lot of things I find fun, one definition alone wouldn't suffice.
