[video] June 8th, Mid-morning
For those that may not be aware, the group calling themselves the Erinyes are in essence, a terrorist shadow organization. A month ago, it's believed they incited rebellion among the civilian population of Death City, which swiftly escalated into full-scale riots and protests against Shibusen and the Guest population, calling for an end to the war.
Naturally, something like that isn't so simple and so they took further action, kidnapping a handful of Guests, drugging them and subjecting them to rough treatment. The victims were all recovered before any further harm could come to them fortunately, though the Erinyes' motives for doing so were unclear. It's apparent they're using stolen communicators to watch the network, so as a safety precaution, keep a closer watch on your filter security. They were able to make use of communicators they shouldn't have been capable of accessing even after the last network security update, so their technological capability shouldn't be underestimated.
More recently, the Erinyes were responsible for the direct attacks on Guest residences that occurred ten days ago while most of our forces were supporting other cities infested with Black Blood, resulting in plenty of widespread damage and injury before their associates were contained. They're not short-sighted enough to work with the Witches, but whatever their real reasons, they've made it apparent they're not real allies of Shibusen and won't abide the Guest population.
And while they are not threats on the same level of Witches or Kishin Eggs, they've proven themselves as a danger to those within the city. The Watch will continue to support both the Guest and civilian populations of Death City while maintaining a presence in the field, but I'd advise the Erinyes against causing any further trouble for the city and its inhabitants.
Filter- Watch
Well we've discovered their source of information, and I'd advise everyone to be more careful with the information they leave public until Azusa-san updates network security again. And since the Erinyes saw fit to address the network, I'd appreciate everyone on high alert for suspicious activity in the city. Once again, I'd also like to ask a few members that attend training to keep an eye on the field. Everyone knows we gather there for training, and it wouldn't be a difficult target.
In a similar vein, the Watch Headquarters have been fitted with shutters to better withstand siege should anything strike us there at any point in the future. While I'd hope we'd never need to use it as a sort of base, it may need to be further outfitted as such soon.
Keep up the good work everyone. It seems our breaks will be few and far in-between..
Filter- Re-L & Vincent
If the two of you are ready, I'll brief you.
Filter- Mello
Raiden says to tell you he's recovered sufficiently to return to work today. As well, I was wondering your experience with interrogation.
Filter- Auron & Steve Rogers
We've been granted license to aid the police in interrogating the captured individuals. There are strict guidelines in place and I've chosen a few individuals that both have experience and shouldn't take things too far. But to ensure this, I was wondering if either of you would mind accompanying those individuals.
[ooc: action tags are great too if anyone wants to talk to him in the office personally]

Hoping to relieve some of that tension, Lee had taken a moment from his day to stop by a Deathbucks to grab a cup of hot jasmine tea for his Meister. Skipping along to Neji's office, Lee knocked on the door before stepping inside.]
Neji, I brought you some tea!
[action]
It was demanding work and occasionally he thought it would be better if he simply let Auron take over, but perhaps in time.. For now, he fixed his attention on the office door, and visibly relaxed when he saw it was just Lee. Bearing tea, no less.
He offered his partner a mild smile, sinking down a little in his chair]
Thank you, Lee. The day has just begun, but it's already tiring. I'll likely need to brief Re-L, Vincent, and possibly Mello today for the interrogations.. We also received a new application late yesterday.

Jasmine green tea.
[Then with little pomp, Lee made himself comfortable on the edge of Neji's desk, drinking his own iced coffee. Neji already seemed to have his day planned out. Lee wished he could support his partner more, but he doubted there was all that much he could do, really.]
Briefing would be better than throwing them into the room with the ones needing to be questioned. [He smiled lightly.] Ah, and a new recruit? That is good news.

I appreciate it.

[But onto the more pressing topic]
What do you think of the Erinyes' address yesterday?
[Private | Video]
I led a rebellion myself in the past, and for a while I was able to trump the other side but mainly because I had many things to level the playing ground. These "avengers", on the other hand, don't seem to know what they're doing. Unfortunately for them, we have the upper hand and they know it.
But what they could do is rally more of the locals against us. So it seems like we'll need to work much harder than before to not only appease our fellow guests but to also appeal more to the locals.

[It's probably clear that 'persuasive' is a euphemism.]
I can go to training and keep an eye out.
What can you tell me about their source?
[voice | private]
As for their source, it's a Guest communicator. [Sigh] They've been monitoring our network and coordinating their attacks to coincide with the times when we're weakest..
[voice | private]
I assume the stolen communicator's been confiscated. It's a shame it wasn't something we could use to feed them false information.

I am prepared to double my hours at headquarters, however. It's clear that these people need to be brought to justice.

As for your work, don't hesitate to inform me of a place that needs further investigation, or to contact and cooperate with the Agency to share additional information.

I'll carry on regarding patrol in Outer Residential District II and keep an eye out at morning training. If you need me anywhere else, my schedule is open.

You'll likely be accompanying Mello when he's ready. He seems to have more hard line experience.

[ He's still fairly new here, so he didn't know about all of this, but.. ]
Does that mean we're fighting an enemy, but at the same time we also have to watch out for people actually in this city? That's like we're being attacked from both sides! We didn't do any shit wrong, right?
video;
[Pinching the bridge of his nose, all too aware he's complaining, and shakes his head. Back on topic]
And no, we've done nothing against them or the civilians of this city. Any transgressions that they may imply occurred, were a direct result of Madness, and nothing they were immune to themselves.

I would like to ask the Watch for help regarding a certain matter. Not nearly as important as Erinyes, you see, so forgive me if this isn't an opportune time.

I've been ready. Seeing that post - I'm even more ready. [ And in the strand of thought that they were lucky to be in a place like Death City. In Romdeau the Erinyes would have been rounded up and exterminated by now. ]

You want me to watch interrogations with these experts? *Auron was skilled in a lot of things, but interrogations was not one of them.*
Action
You'd just be watching to make sure they didn't leave marks, physical or mental. Technically we're not supposed to threaten or harm them at all.. But there are- alternative methods.
Still, Rogers has agreed to watch the proceedings of one and I know he has good sense, as well as a military background himself. Vincent will be with Re-L, who should balance her fairly well.. And Lee will be with me.
At the moment, with Rogers comfortable enough to watch Mello however, it looks like it won't be necessary for you to go in there. I wasn't certain he'd volunteer, and I couldn't think of anyone other than you if he didn't.

[ And that's precisely why she decides to talk to Neji shortly after he finishes his message. Though with a nod, she sits nearby. She has a lot to say, so she'll offer it a bit at a time. ]
In lieu of the field for general Watch activities, it may be wise to select a substitute for some events. Such as the Recreational Center. [ A momentary pause. ] And I have concerns regarding Watch communication and coordination if we become unable to rely on our communicators in the future.
[Action]
As for the recreation center.. He takes a moment to consider the area and its amenities]
That could work. As for Watch communication and coordination, I can certainly see how that would be a concern. Perhaps not a crippling one, however. I can establish resonance at a distance to get in contact with a number of Watch personnel just from the office here.. In addition, Lee is very fast, and Genesis can fly, enabling messages to be sent where they're needed. It would be slower, but we'd still manage.
Unless you've come up with an idea for a more efficient means of communication?
