For those that may not be aware, the group calling themselves the Erinyes are in essence, a terrorist shadow organization. A month ago, it's believed they incited rebellion among the civilian population of Death City, which swiftly escalated into full-scale riots and protests against Shibusen and the Guest population, calling for an end to the war.
Naturally, something like that isn't so simple and so they took further action, kidnapping a handful of Guests, drugging them and subjecting them to rough treatment. The victims were all recovered before any further harm could come to them fortunately, though the Erinyes' motives for doing so were unclear. It's apparent they're using stolen communicators to watch the network, so as a safety precaution, keep a closer watch on your filter security. They were able to make use of communicators they shouldn't have been capable of accessing even after the last network security update, so their technological capability shouldn't be underestimated.
More recently, the Erinyes were responsible for the direct attacks on Guest residences that occurred ten days ago while most of our forces were supporting other cities infested with Black Blood, resulting in plenty of widespread damage and injury before their associates were contained. They're not short-sighted enough to work with the Witches, but whatever their real reasons, they've made it apparent they're not real allies of Shibusen and won't abide the Guest population.
And while they are not threats on the same level of Witches or Kishin Eggs, they've proven themselves as a danger to those within the city. The Watch will continue to support both the Guest and civilian populations of Death City while maintaining a presence in the field, but I'd advise the Erinyes against causing any further trouble for the city and its inhabitants.

Well we've discovered their source of information, and I'd advise everyone to be more careful with the information they leave public until Azusa-san updates network security again. And since the Erinyes saw fit to address the network, I'd appreciate everyone on high alert for suspicious activity in the city. Once again, I'd also like to ask a few members that attend training to keep an eye on the field. Everyone knows we gather there for training, and it wouldn't be a difficult target.
In a similar vein, the Watch Headquarters have been fitted with shutters to better withstand siege should anything strike us there at any point in the future. While I'd hope we'd never need to use it as a sort of base, it may need to be further outfitted as such soon.
Keep up the good work everyone. It seems our breaks will be few and far in-between..

Raiden says to tell you he's recovered sufficiently to return to work today. As well, I was wondering your experience with interrogation.

We've been granted license to aid the police in interrogating the captured individuals. There are strict guidelines in place and I've chosen a few individuals that both have experience and shouldn't take things too far. But to ensure this, I was wondering if either of you would mind accompanying those individuals.

It was demanding work and occasionally he thought it would be better if he simply let Auron take over, but perhaps in time.. For now, he fixed his attention on the office door, and visibly relaxed when he saw it was just Lee. Bearing tea, no less.
He offered his partner a mild smile, sinking down a little in his chair]
Thank you, Lee. The day has just begun, but it's already tiring. I'll likely need to brief Re-L, Vincent, and possibly Mello today for the interrogations.. We also received a new application late yesterday.

[Then with little pomp, Lee made himself comfortable on the edge of Neji's desk, drinking his own iced coffee. Neji already seemed to have his day planned out. Lee wished he could support his partner more, but he doubted there was all that much he could do, really.]
Briefing would be better than throwing them into the room with the ones needing to be questioned. [He smiled lightly.] Ah, and a new recruit? That is good news.

Particularly with the stringent guidelines set to us. There are few effective methods left available here..
[And he couldn't personally care if the captives were tortured for information if necessary, but as the Commander of the Watch under Shibusen, he had to observe and enforce those guidelines]
As for the new recruit, he's an acquaintance of Raiden's. He sounds very capable, and claims to have mastered the ultimate form of taijutsu with plans to instruct those interested in a branch of non-lethal combat.

When Neji mentioned taijutsu, Lee's ears almost visibly perked from the work. His eyes turned sharply to his Meister's, obviously interested.]
The "ultimate form?" Do you suppose he is on the same level as Gai-sensei when it comes to taijutsu, Neji?

It's possible. He is older than Gai-sensei by a few years. He's said he won't use it, but perhaps if you or I can pressure him in a spar, we may find out. I'm certainly interested in his non-lethal combat applications.

[Lee felt a grin beginning to grow at the corners of his mouth, unable to help himself.]
If he is already going to teach, I am sure we may sit-in on his sessions. And asking for a spar... [Lee shrugged] What martial artist does not enjoy honing his art with other masters?

He'll certainly be an interesting addition. Even if we lost to him now, I'd try again once I've remastered jyuuken with Soul Menace. If he can best a Hyuuga in a contest of taijutsu, then he'd be an excellent candidate toward helping us improve our future resonance capabilities. Your speed in addition to Jyuuken...

[And hearing Neji speak about Jyuuken and their increase in resonating ability pumped Lee up. Already he could feel their resonance warming as they fell into easy agreement and shared excitement. Almost like--
No. He promised he wouldn't think about those things while they were in the office. Lee shook his head lightly to get himself back on track.]
I believe our own fighting style is improving, as our recent mission records have shown. We are surely growing to be unstoppable at this rate, Neji!

[Lee grinned brightly. He didn't think he would ever be 100 percent happy with Clairvoyance, but it wasn't something that came naturally to him like turning into a pair of nunchaku. But he could handle it, and had a much better grasp on it than he had when they had begun working around that ability.]
