[ When idle, her mind would naturally wander to home and concerns or vague considerations revolving around Fiore of the guild, and today was no different. And, well, it’d be a lie to say she wasn’t mildly curious. Carefully, transferring the message over to text, she begins to type, a watchful finger for each key. ]

I’ve noticed that not many of you seem accustomed with the concept of a “guild,” but “magic” is different, right? Which brings me to my next question! ☆

What was magic like back in your world? Was it something commonplace? Reserved for certain types of people? I guess, you could say that I have time to spare and I’m really curious! I’ll be waiting for your replies--! ☆

To those who wished to learn, it existed. However, it became a myth soon after the middle ages, in the 15th century.

Only very few selected people know of magic for no one else believes in it.

That's unfortunate... That people would just write it off as a myth.

I don't even want to think of a day where magic would slowly dissipate into something like that. Isn't that kind of ... lonely?

Guilds are groups that had grown in the middle ages, and have since tapered off, in a sense.

As for magic, there was no such thing back home. However, the growth of science was well on its way, comparing from my time and this current time in which we live.

So there are people who've heard of "guilds!" I don't think the meaning is quite the same, but I mean, it's the general idea that counts. [ Her voice noticeably picks up, an overall cheery tone going along with her words. ] In my world, it's more for people who use magic.

.... so in short, it didn't exist? [ Kind of regrettable. ]

Anyone could do it, if they tried hard enough, but not a lot of people did. Sort of like learning a second language. And even then, it would take a lot of practice just to do one or two very specific things. I summoned penguins.

A second language. That's an interesting way to put it!

One or two very specific things...? Hm, I think I could relate. Even back in Earthland, we were given pretty particular skills. [ A pause at the mention of penguins. ] Oh! So you'd form... contracts with them? [ That's the only thing she could relate it to, really. ]

I don't know. I created them, and they would disappear after a while. Starting with a few minutes, and longer as I got better.

I know only witches and certain Pokémon were able to use magic...

[ She repeats it, probably butchering it slightly-- ] Pokee-mon? What are those?

[Dawn enunciates the words nice and slow, breathing in and out.]

They're the creatures in my world. Kind of like magical animals, I guess.

A guild? Is that like a clan? [Because, yeah, she hasn't heard of guilds before. Oh, but this person? asked a question!]

Magic isn't something everyone has. History says that all elves had magic once, but it's faded with time.

I guess you could say that! I mean, people join for various reasons and the actions you can take within them vary, but I would consider it more of a place you can call home. [ Her tone of voice lightens at this, though she proceeds boldly regardless. ] But, I mean, you can also take on missions... things like that!

I see. Even my world, magic isn't for everyone, but it's not as small or tight knit as it seems in other worlds. [ There's a brief pause before-- ] Did you have it?

i... don't know about guilds but magic can only be used by those who possess elven blood on my world. there aren't very many with elven blood so it isn't too common. most who do have elven blood stay away from those that do not.

We didn't have magic in our world, but we had abilities that some people might call magic.

What types of abilities would those be...?

Magic was only a thing of stories and legend, I know that for a fact. We relied on the normal abilities of humans, as well as the help of God.

What type of normal human abilities would you most often use...?

Er. We don't have guilds, or magic-- we got clans though.

We don't have magic on my world, though I think it would be nice to. Magic just seems so...amazing!

It really is! I sometimes really resent the fact that we're unable to use our abilities from home...

I think it would have been neat to show some of the friends I made here. Of course, you'd be no exception!
