While I'm absolutely flattered that I've been chosen to fight in this war- [The sarcastic edge to Lyon's voice is completely audible, and he pauses a long moment, looking as if he's about to either sigh or roll his eyes] -my skills are indeed needed elsewhere for other, important purposes.

[Another pause, and this time he really does sigh]

Ah, but I suppose I can help to some extent, being as powerful as I am. [If it means this will be over quicker and he can return home at least, although that isn't the only reason. Funny how he nearly makes it seem like he's here by choice and would be able to leave if he so pleased, which is, undeniably, false]

Now, tell me, whoever happens to be listening to this. Does a boy by the name of Gray Fullbuster or a lovely lady named Juvia Lockser happen to be here? Or perhaps does Lamia Scale, my Guild, ring any bells? [Maybe some of the other members are here as well]

You apparently could also be sent back at random. That's what keeps happening to everybody else. You can sit around on your ass waiting for it or fighting. Nobody else has a better suggestion.

[He wondered if being part of a guild had anything to do with this bravado. Natsu mentioned a guild at one point. Winters was surprised he even recalled it given how much he wasn't listening.]

Do you have a Weapon or Meister already? [He's not even entirely sure how choosing one works really]

Yeah I do have a Meister. The idiot wanted to fight me right off the bat and promised he'd get me some kills. BREW thought it would be fucking hilarious to remove him for a few days. You know how hard it is to sift through all the garbage it brings here?

This world might be interesting, but if it wants a hand it should make the people here stronger. What's the point of bringing in other people and taking away their abilities? It's bullshit!

[The grimace disappeared, replaced by his usual smile.]

I'm just hoping that finding a Weapon doesn't take too long, so I can get to the fighting quickly.

This war would be over by now if BREW wasn't a waste of a device. They can tell me about how much they needed warriors, but it sounds like an excuse to fuck with people.

Just keep your eyes open and don't just pick out whichever one comes your way. Most of the Weapons here are too chickenshit to fight.

And I take it your current partner satisfies that compatibility?

[Hmm, a bit of a thoughtful pause] Perhaps people originally from here should focus more effort on adjusting it somehow.

Believe me, I won't do that. I'd hardly want to be partners with someone like that, it would be more like babysitting.
