Recently I was introduced to a practice that does not exist in my home world.
Said practice is 'marriage' and I became rather curious about it. Someone suggested to me that I read some wedding planning books or romance novels to learn more about it. I asked one of the sales person at the nearby bookstore for their most popular romance novels.
[At this point there is a very long pause in Disciple's reading as she tries to find a way to put this politely. She was pretty certain what she had been reading in these books was exaggerated, or some weird fetish fulfillment but what if it wasn't and she just ended up insulting a bunch of people?]
I
[And there she stops again]
am confused. By a lot of things I have read in these books and would like clarification on some things so I do not go off with the wrong ideas of the romantic practices of humans. I'd rather not go into detail about what I have read in some of these books since I understand we have some young ones with access to this network, so if someone could just tell me about marriage and the human quadrant system I would be much obliged.

Alternatively, black romance involves hate, strife, and rivalry. I hestiate a bit to use the word 'hate' for I f33l it is more a result of black romance than a focus of it, but again that it just me being nitpicky about terminology.
Now the easier ones to explain--concupiscent quadrants have the societal function of reproduction and so are the physically intimate quadrants. The conciliatory ones do not have physical intimacy--at the very least not typically, and they serve to act mores as anchors for trolls.

Okay. [he is kinda waiting for more, since he doesn't know if there will be more]

The flushed quadrant, that of the red and concupiscent category is the one that s33ms to resemble what humans define as love the most so I will not go too into it other than to say some trolls would venture to call it the most dangerous of the quadrants.
[A sad notion, but true nonetheless.]

I suppose it can be, but that can be said of many things. If it is true, it is worth following it.
[But that was just her opinion, she isn't going to be lecturing anyone on that.]
The other red quadrant would be the pale one, or that of moiralleginace. It is a sort of balancing act. No person knows you better than your moirail--flaws and all. If anything a moirail knows you more for your flaws than your virtues. Regardless they are very close to you and are there to help you better yourself, or fill gaps in your life. A moirallegiance is especially important for certain trolls because many of them can be rather volatile, especially the higher up on the hemospectrum they are. Therefore they require someone to anchor them, and k33p them from hurting others or themselves.
