Just a, uh... quick question to the other Weapons here.

I've already tried looking things up on this, but I'm just a bit wary about trusting some of the material.

Weapons get stronger by collecting souls, right? Eating them... basically. I've heard that there was an alternative and Weapons could choose to not collect them, but-

What happens to the souls that we do collect? And can we still get stronger if we choose not to... do that?

Trust me. Even living here it's not an easy thing to get used to.

Patti and I...well, Kid found us. And it wasn't always a smooth ride getting used to each other. I mean, we met him by trying to mug him. [And she's really not proud of that, but it's not exactly a secret.] If eating evil souls did bad things to you, I doubt Kid would've been willing to take Patti and me anywhere near his missions.

The worst part--aside from going and fighting these things--is getting used to the texture if I want to be really honest. If you're not a fan of Jell-O, it's sort of creepy how it slides down your throat.

Hey, there's nothing wrong with being a little scared. I mean, you got pulled into our world with no warning whatsoever and suddenly we're telling you that to get stronger, you have to eat evil souls. It's just when you let that fear control you that things start to go wrong. A lot of the kishin eggs only started eating innocent souls because they wanted to accumulate enough power to conquer their fears as fast as possible rather than strengthening their own souls.

It kind of is, to be honest. But you either get used to it or you try not to think too hard about what you're doing.

You sure you'll be okay?

No problem. I'll talk to you later.
