[A pair of eyes are looking through the device, but quickly note that this object is recording.]
Ha! It functions! While similar to a scrying orb, it cannot divine that which was or what shall be. Oh, what a shame, but it will have to do.
[And the mirror is laid on a surface - propped atop a chair perhaps - revealing the rest of him. Glove-covered fingers adjust the gold-framed glasses rested atop his nose as his lips twitch into a grin.]
Well good morning, nonetheless. I am Lezard Valeth, one of your 'Weapons' in this aptly-named city. It is a pleasure to be thrust into another world filled with lowly beasts all-too-eager to feast upon the souls of man. You could say I've ample experience in dealing with such creatures... [And he enjoys a short fit of laughter with a further thought.] How amusing would it be were I inconvenienced with homesickness!?
[A devil-may-care shrug here.] Ah, but I digress. I seek a Meister with which to begin my participation in this campaign. My alternate form is that of a tome, but what function it serves must be further explored... Soul Resonance would undoubtedly be the key.
As for requirements, hm. [A hand to the chin.] To resonate with a woman may yield stronger results... though, I suppose I shall make exceptions for a better-fitting candidate.
And so my search begins. I look forward to meeting each and every one of you. [He dipped into a theatrical bow, and the feed ends.]

[Action for Kyosuke]
[Early on the morning of the 16th, Yuuichi opens his door a crack before stepping outside of it and closing it behind him. Luckily for him, his brother's room was right next door to his, so he didn't have to really bother with using his wheelchair. And though his legs were still getting used to being used, a small trip next door wouldn't be too much.
Slowly, he peeks his head into Kyousuke's room and lets out a small sigh. He was still asleep... Just as quietly as he can, he walks over and gently shakes his brother's shoulder, a warm smile on his face.]
Kyosuke, it's time to wake up. [Let's see if Kyosuke can notice anything different...]

Good morning, Death City! This is Tsurugi Yuuichi, and I have good news! [He looks so happy..]
About a month ago, I found out about how Death City provides things like medicine or surgeries.. and having been paralyzed from the waist down for over 5 years, you can only imagine that I would have jumped at the chance, right? [His smile just seems like it's getting bigger and bigger.]
I have tried not to tell anyone about it yet, because I didn't want to get anyone's hopes up before knowing if the surgery had actually worked but.. [He sets the communicator back on a table and stands up, taking a few small steps back, enough to show that he was standing.]
Recently, I've been able to walk a little bit without having too much pain.. though from now on I'm going to be using those crutches over there until I can really walk. ... Though it's all thanks to Taiyou-kun that I've progressed! Without his support and help, I would still be having a hard time with standing I bet!
[He lets out a small laugh] Ah, I'm starting to drag this on longer then I wanted.
I just wanted to let everyone know that I'll soon be able to walk and run with everyone again!
And Kid-kun, I'm very thankful for the opportunity to take the surgery. [He then bows, showing his appreciation.] Thank you for providing us with important things like that.

Attention everyone. There have been recent developments in regards to our next plan of action. As you all know, the reason why I have remained in Death City is to maintain a protective barrier to keep the Madness out. Due to certain Madness Emitters constructed by the witches, this area has had a higher elevation than other areas. These devices increase the Madness wavelength, making it more potent than otherwise would be.
However, we have finally managed to locate three of them, with one of them being closest to Death City. As we continue to gather more information about the other two, there will be a mission to take down the one closest to us—about sixty miles out.
The device is somewhere in an underground cavern system and is certain to be filled with a high volume of kishin eggs that will be more volatile and erratic due to the close proximity of the Madness Emitters. This also means that those who participate in this mission will be exposed to the Madness and are at a high risk of succumbing to it.
Thus due to the inherent dangerous nature of this mission, it is ranked as a Three-star mission. However, we will allow Two-star meisters as well as a few lower ranked ones to help with the less dangerous areas.
The ultimate goal is to not destroy the device, but to have a team of experts dismantle the device to bring back here and study in hopes to better understand what it is the witches are using. [and may also be able to turn it against them.] Therefore, the strategy will work as follows:
Higher ranked partners will go deeper into the caverns to clear the higher leveled kishin eggs. Those of lower rank will focus on the peripheral areas and eliminate lower ranked kishin eggs and any animals that may have been infected by the Madness. This will allow the higher ranked teams to conserve their strength for the real battle inside. This also means that those who do not have partners may participate as any infected animals can be killed by normal weapons—which we will provide.
To help counteract the Madness, we will have those with the anti-Madness wavelength as well as others who have similar Madness calming effects on hand. However, I must also state that those who know they are highly susceptible to the Madness to not participate in this mission. Not only would you be a risk to yourself, but also everyone else around you.
There are ways to build a resistance to the Madness, but it requires focus and a strong soul to do it. We initially had a special training session as a test to see if this would be doable and we had varying success. We will continue to try other techniques to help build your self-resistance to the Madness for the upcoming missions for the other Madness Emitters. Knocking this one down will make training easier as the levels will be at a more manageable level.
The mission has been posted on the main Mission Board and everyone will head out on Thursday, March 18. If you would like to participate, then sign up there. If you have any questions about this mission, then ask them now.

I believe you are the one who was interested in helping with the research and technology here, correct?
