I've been thinking, lately, about something I experienced back in the place where I was born..

If you could meet yourself as a child…

Would she/he be proud of you?

What kind of excuse would you say to excuse the things you've done or the person you've become?

When it's given to you for... specific reasons that are nothing short of almost devious, yes.

People, where I'm from, are created for specific purposes, and with very specific purposes in mind..

Curiosity is not encouraged among all humans? [That is a concept he found difficult to believe. Having such a thing stripped of them...]

Not where I'm from, at least. They created me as such and then treated it as worthy of making me a pariah when I acted accordingly. [ And even if it's not on video, she shrugs. ]

I'm afraid that I do not understand the term 'pariah', but it saddens me to hear that you have been created without such things.

A pariah is something of an outcast - though it only made me stronger in making decisions for myself, so you shouldn't feel sad about it. I don't anymore.

[ There's a small pause, after that, and a chuckle follows. ]

I had plenty of time for that, after Romdeau fell, and I've been engaging in a good amount here when I am not working.
