[The screen flickers on and Judai sits there blinking at the camera, a small smile on his face.] I’ve been thinking about starting a blog ever since I left Duel Academy. [His comment sounds idle and a hint of exhaustion creeps into his voice towards the end of the sentence. A moment later, he's all smiles though, shaking the camera a little.]

Hey! So, I'm new here! I guess... that's a thing that happens, huh? [He laughs and rubs the back of his neck.] My name's Judai! It's nice to meet you all! Or, I mean, it would be if you were... y'know... here instead of... [He gestures vaguely.] On the other side of a network I think??

[Judai pauses for a moment here and then eagerly reaches off screen, pulling his hand back into view with a deck of cards a moment later.] So I was think that maybe somebody might wanna duel me? It'd really be great! I love taking on new challengers, and since you're all new... [He trails off and his smile falters for a moment before he hitches it right back on.]

So yeah! Hit me up if you wanna duel! I can meet up with you wherever! Uh, so long as you tell me where I'm going. [With a snicker, he winks at the camera.] See ya soon!

[Atem is finding it very hard to keep a straight face. Telling himself this wasn't worth losing his temper over. Even here, he has an image to uphold.]

Why am I...? [As;dfjs;dklf.] Are you dense? What else should I be? Anyone native to Egypt possess this red tone. [Not tan. Tan was for peasants who toiled all day in the sun. Ugh.]

[Yessss, he managed to find a good name. He's so proud of that he doesn't really fully comprehend what's going on just yet.]

Oh, you were just really pale last t-- [And there it goes. Judai's eyes widen and he gasps rather dramatically as the truth finally starts hitting home with him.]

Wait, wait! You're... really the Nameless Pharaoh?? Like, seriously? Before you were sealed in the puzzle and everything??? [Whoa, this is even cooler than he thought it was. Oh wait, did he just talk about something he shouldn't? Crap!]

[Alright Juudai may not have answered his question verbally but his next reply confirms it. Juudai was dense. And he gives him a sidelong look through the screen.]

I was starting to believe everyone from our world was privy to that particular detail.

[Judai holds his hands up, almost apologetically, and shakes his head emphatically.]

Sorry, sorry! I didn't realize! [Holy cow, he is actually talking to a for real pharaoh. Not like he hasn't done that before, but still!! And he actually remembers just how pompous Abidos had started out when they dueled, so this is somehow not surprising anymore.]

I guess I just wasn't expecting it, y'know? I should have though, what with people being from... uh... the past for me. Eheheh...

[And he sighs. Perhaps a little too loudly. It's not like he was annoyed or anything. But Juudai finally seems to get it so it's time to compose himself.]

You should get used to it.

Ahahaha... [Judai laughs a little awkwardly. It seems like the Nameless Pharaoh is pretty annoyed with him. Wow, that's weird. Maybe he's just tired or something.]

Yeah, I guess! I'm still trying to get used to everything else too... It's probably gonna take me a while. [He smiled brightly.] But at least I've got lots of great friends like you around here, right? [Whoops, assuming he's friends with a pharaoh. This isn't a first...]

[Keeping right on track for a collision Juudai. Good job. Atem looks anything but amused by his antics but he continues to guard his sentiments.]

Merely being acquainted in your time does not give you the liberty to entertain such presumptions...

[That's was hardly even the point but he can't let it slide.]

[Wait, okay, that has him looking really confused.]

Huh? But we are friends! We've dueled and we've even saved the world together! [He sounds very enthusiastic now.] I mean, I guess you don't remember it, but I do! And I'll still think of you as my friend even if you don't realize why.

[Wow, that was a little deep for you, Judai. Good job.]

[Ugh where has he heard this before. Replace the word friend with partner and they'd be all set. Kids these days.]

You know it is rather selfish of you to decide that all on your own.

[Alright it's not like he's trying to be particularly off putting, he just wants to make it clear where they stand.]

But I suppose if you don't expect anything on my behalf, we will be fine.

[Judai looks a little hurt for a moment, but he perks right back up.]

Alright, I won't expect anything. [He grins.] But, y'know, we did say our bonds would last forever. I think you'll see it if we get to know each other a little better!

[Atem just shakes his head, though not in denial.]

We shall see.

I guess we will! [Judai continues to smile for a moment before glancing away a little.]

Um, so... Nameless Pharaoh-san... Do you duel?? [He feels like he hasn't actually found that out yet, and what if he doesn't duel?? aaaah!!]

[Eugh he's still not entirely sure how he feels about that but it's better to move on for now...]

That depends. If you are referring to duel monsters then I am hardly in possession of a deck. [You know, being from Egypt, a few millennia before they had those things.]

Yeah, that's what I was talking about... [He taps his chin thoughtfully.] But I guess... also... that game they have here! You mentioned it earlier! [Eager again] Do you play that?

I do. Seeing as you were only just made aware of it, I presume you will need a deck yourself? [And no he's not helping you.]

Yeah! But it's okay, Bakura's helping me out. He said he'd get me a deck. And maybe I'll get to help design some of the cards like I made my Neo-Spacians! [Excite]

[Heh.] Well, when you are prepared, I'll take you on.

[And that's a promise, because hey, a duel is a duel.]

[He looks positively delighted at those words.]

You bet! I can't wait to duel you aga-- [Stops himself and gives an awkward recovery phrase instead.] Duel... you... for the first time! [Nailed it.]
