I'm sure we all have a 'bucket' list of things we'd like to do sometime in our lives before we die. This place certainly gives us opportunities to cross items off it, such as getting to visit other continents.

On the other hand, it also presents us with things we'd never believed would ever happen to us - the whole manner of our arrival and subsequent submersion into this war aside.

[Akiha is back from her mission in Brazil and she's not terribly happy with how it went.]

For example, I can now claim that I have been eaten by a giant slug. Allow me to cross that off my list. I've always wanted to have to kill something while inside its stomach and then cut my way out. [/sarcasm]

That said, can anyone recommend a hair stylist here? I need to take a few inches off thanks to stomach acid. [Or whatever it was.]

[She had a few things on her bucket list - some of them very much things a young woman would have that surrounded silly romantic things, like kissing someone she loves in the rain. She wasn't about to voice those to this man.]

Oh, things like seeing my place of origin in this world, looking that Medusa witch in the eyes... things like that. I haven't been here long enough to put a full list together.

[Winters wouldn't have done anything with that list except make fun of her...as was his custom.]

Looking a witch in the eye, huh? That doesn't sound like too bad of an idea! Better than sitting around and waiting to die like most of these idiots seem to think will work!

There is absolutely no point in waiting to die. If someone wants to die, they should just go out and die, leaving the rest of us with things to do alone.

[Whelp Winters just found himself one of his favorite people to talk to. His eyes noticeably light up at hearing this. Not many people agreed with a serial murderer.]

Oh? Good good! Somebody else that doesn't like weaklings! And here I thought they were extinct!

They're pathetic and a waste of my time to bother with.

[He nodded along with it as a question formed in his mind. With somebody else like-minded around, he had to know something.]

So tell me this...how the hell are you able to stand half of the people in this damn place? The majority of them are a waste of space!

I ignore them save for the few times I may need them. They are a means to an end.

Oh? Are you saying that they should be used for personal gain? I think I might like the sound of that!

[Maybe if they just placed all of those wastes of space into the middle of battle then the rest of them would be able to get the jump on these enemies here.]

If enough of them die, maybe better ones will come in.

I don't care how they're used; I will do what I must to get home.

[Going home. That wasn't even a concept Winters was sure he gave two shits about in the first place. Go home or not...he was still a fucking slave.]

And what's back home?

My life. I'm tired of living here as a pauper where I have to cater to this world's expectations as a means to return to my rightful status.

I am a Tohno. I head the most powerful family in Japan. I am not common.

[Well this was getting interesting, wasn't it? He supposed he could understand that in his own way. Things getting taken away was a big damn deal.]

Hehe...I suppose having everything before you got here would be a pain in the ass to lose. Seems like we're all on the same level now no matter what your name is.

All the more reason to return to my own home where I am better than everyone else.

Well it was honestly damn refreshing to meet somebody who can't stand this place. Maybe that piece of shit BREW will be smart and send you back.

One can only hope since it seems to work on its own time table. Until then I will put up with this place and just get more powerful as I can.

[His sentiments exactly. He held up a hand at the screen in a sign of farewell.]

Well I'm gonna go get stronger myself! Maybe you can beat BREW into submission or something and get it to send you back.

It's a wasted effort to beat an inanimate object and expect it to do anything other than break. I have better things to do than punch a brick wall, so to speak.
